When i was teaching highschool art classes, I tried hard to pound it into my students heads that that there is no good or bad art because the quality of art is a subjective concept. Just because one person thinks something is bad doesnt mean another will not think its amazing. therefore there is no good or bad art. its all just art.

I had a lot of trouble getting my hands to do what I wanted them to (and sometimes still do), and especially with figuring out why certain things just looked wrong no matter what I did. To this day if I'm having trouble on a pose I'll make a quick sketch of the lines from a ref photo to figure out what my brain is interpreting wrong.
