you could add a dining room, and also use the craftable flooring to make the bottom part of the kitchen into a kind of dry food storage area (dont remember the name for it lol) and you could turn the basement into a fish room where you display your legendary fish, and a dining room next to the kitchen and maybe a TV lounge area in the bottom part of the bedroom. In the top right maybe a cute tea room or a second bedroom for the kids so they have each their own bedroom

it's a mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4635 I changed the replacement farm to river instead of forest, because I already have a save file on the forest farm, and I won't use the river farm. You can change that with the mod config menu before you start a new save file.

you can use Quality Smash to bring a bunch of stuff down to the same quality level instead of 3-4 different stacks of foraged stuff cause its all different qualities

I usually end up with 4 chests, and color-code them (or name them if I'm on PC) for Farming, Fishing, Foraging, and Mining. It makes it faster to dump materials if the materials are organized by the activity I did to get them. 4 chests can also all be reached from the tile where I access the workbench. Not all materials and items will fit in 4 chests so I have other stash chests but 4 are usually enough for crafting

you can also destroy every tree in cindersap forest and the mountains to get a ton of wood

actually, the game does provide an intuitive way of making sure you dont space them too closely

its like, when you place a tree sapling down, it grays out the spaces for the next tree you place that would be too close to the one you just put down

so you can never put two trees too close to one another

the only thing you'll need to worry about are debris, buildings, etc. being to close to your tree

but once it has grown, you can place anything near it. aside from another tree of course

u dont have to worry too much. debris only spawns at the start of a new season

just make sure you dont place anything near the saplings as they grow

and you'll be fine

debris and other stuff doesnt ruin the tree, per say. it just stops it from growing. so if you wanna make sure the tree grows, u gotta make sure that the spaces around it are clear

dont worry about the weeds eating your saplings

This is mine!! i tried to give each room a color scheme and it helped with making things not clash together. also give each room a theme or a purpose (ex. a fishtank library ext.)

also plants help alot!! it gives life to the place!

I want to redecorate my farm and make it more efficient and prettier but I have no idea where to start, any tips?

When planning my farm, I generally put path ways first between all exits. Then I put the for me 4 most important things: animals, crops, Obelisks and the greenhouse/sheds. The greenhouse I normally put close to the farm house or a small obelisk. Same for the big obelisks. For animals and crops I generally choose different corners. For crops I first check how efficiently I can put the Junimo huts. I normally try to hide scarecrows and sprinklers with decoration to make the area prettier. Animals I put in big areas that can be separated with fences and gates, so I will always have an area with fresh grass to feed them. Things like fish ponds and bees normally don't need much space, so I always find some spot for them to put. Lastly I fill empty spots with flower decoration, lamps, benches, trees/fruit trees, etc.
