Aight thanks
got boring and made a lot of mistakes
oof
first playthrough to be fair tho
was just figuring everything out the first year
upload.farm doesnt seem to work ill just use the planner
new save :D
yeah any advice what I should add?
oh, didnt expect that amount of help lol
its no problem :D
Thanks! โค
โค
rendered?
ok
still shows only half of buildings
...still shows half of buildings
hmm
give us your plan url please
should do something like this when you press render in spring
(dont judge the placings, just an example)
ah just saw the link in the corner when done
i ran out of ideas for stuff to put on a farm i'm planning, any suggestions on what to make/remove?
Maybe a couple of sheds and a horse stable. You'll also want a gold clock to stop debris from spawning.
@gloomy pine I think it looks pretty good. 147 spaces for grass can support about 16 animals without needing grass starters supplemented. So you may consider adjusting things so they have more pasture land.
@gloomy pine probably a scarecrow for your crops up top, a coop, & a shed
Oh yeah and seconding the stable
sounds good
I spent most of my day on this, but I dont really have a notion of what to do with the big lake. Does anyone have an idea? https://stardew.info/planner/yellow-bird-63/
Thank you! I was trying to figure out how to get the picture
There is a purple rendering menu on the top right in the planner, which you can use to get the in-game like image
Oh right, lol. I forgot that was a thing for a second
@tranquil vessel you could just let grass grow there for making hay!
I could do that. I was considering making it a wood farm, just placing a few trees around it
Yup, I like it
looks good!
What is the best farm layout you guys have seen?
probably the one that @tranquil vessel just shared
current farm, things in the works. (the patchy tilled dirt is only there because spring is almost over, no need to rehoe unusable land
I planned this farm, but I still have a small space at the top left over, any suggestions on what i should put there? Before people say furnaces, I'm using one of the sheds for the furnaces, and all of the barns and other sheds are going to be loaded with kegs. Here's the farm link:

(@gloomy pine You leveled up to Villager! You can now join voice chat and all public channels. See #445729591533764620 for more info. Keep up the good work!)
Well, you could put a slime hutch there, or just something that looks nice :)
Like grass and trees
Windmill?
Awh thanks so much @hearty granite โค I spent a lot of time on it xD
Anyone using the Stardew Expansion mod layout at all?
@tranquil vessel have you considered making that a planner link?
Didn't he post a link earlier? https://stardew.info/planner/yellow-bird-63/
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
It was a picture but not the planner unless he posted another link I'm not seeing
(@cyan stratus You leveled up to Villager! You can now join voice chat and all public channels. See #445729591533764620 for more info. Keep up the good work!)
I mean, isn't this the link: https://stardew.info/planner/yellow-bird-63/
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
Oh ok my bad
Hey welcome to the server MisterGamer!
Im a she, but yes, it is there if you want it ๐
Ah! My bad :)
Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to place fences on top of flooring in the planner? I have seen renders of plans with it done and I know it possible in game but I can't for the life of me get it to work in the planner...
I think if you turn on freebrush it'll work
@sick ember
If you go to open and click "Toggle brush freemode" it might work that way
Nvm I just tried it and it doesn't work
I don't think you can do it in the planner
my partner bugged me into making a discord so we can chat while they're away for an internship...first thing I looked for were stardew valley serves and I had never seen this planner before!!! https://stardew.info/planner/nervous-goose-95/ This is pretty ideal for me tbh. Obviously I have empty space but any more crops and I get annoyed when I have to replant. The empty space could always go towards a second barn and coop ig, or trees for wood (the trees by the barns are for tapping). One shed for casks, one for fishing
I want to post what the layout of the inside of my house looks like (because itโs practically a maze at this point) but I donโt know exactly which chat is best to do so
Heck
Righto thank you :)
I thought that would be a good spot but wanted a second opinion :)
I just found out about this website, so pls don't roast me lol. I know this is a really dumb question, but why isn't it letting me build on grass? I'm trying to put weathered floor right in front of my house but it's not letting me, yet in-game I can. Can somebody help me
Options menu at the top, toggle restriction check?
But then you'll be able to put it anywhere at all.
thanks.
Any advice on what I should add to my farm? Its empty as fuck
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
Im not creative
Similar to what you already have, just more?
You can look at other peoples' farms at https://upload.farm/ for some inspiration?
Are you actually going to cover the whole farm in that path?
In terms of what else to put, at some point you're going to want more crops so you'll need more space for that
You could add some beehives and flowers
@uneven furnace Wut XD thats actually kinda awesome in a way. That must have took alot of wood OwO'
about 3.5k and I got more from clearing the farm
where do i find a tub o flowers in the planner
I don't think it's included in the planner
jeu what should i put in place of my slime hutch as there kinda useless and i want to be as effecient as possible
sheds maybe? For kegs?
@carmine saffron thanks but those barns below are for kegs
oh, ok! Nevermind then lol
yeah theyre there
would i be abel to fit 2 more barns and 2 more coops in my animal area if i got rid of the silos without having to worry about the grass
@jolly goblet would you be open to putting the farm in the planner?
i wish i could but i have lost the file and now all i have is the render and not the planner @cyan stratus
lmk if anyone knows of a way to recover it with that image
you have the image, you could just recreate it in the planner.
For the upload farm link, can you find farms by type? Like hilltop, fishing etc
Bc not many people have the hilltop farm
@runic grove yes... https://upload.farm/all?search=hilltop
tysm!
(@runic grove You leveled up to Villager! You can now join voice chat and all public channels. See #445729591533764620 for more info. Keep up the good work!)
oh cool, I didn't know upload.farm exists
@jolly goblet Add two more barns in place of the slime hutch (just continue the left column, two should fit) and put crystalariums with diamonds in them.
Edit: I was also bored and edited Greyhound's plan of your farm to match my suggestion
https://upload.farm/plan/1FvdTj
@jolly goblet here you go. I was bored. https://upload.farm/plan/1Fvdte
@rigid grail @night eagle you guys are awesome tanks guys
Happy to help!
Does anyone have any cool farm designs for combat maps? I tried for over an hour but I'm just bad at designing
Have you looked on upload.farm?
That would be a great place to start! You can browse by farm layout.
work in progress. Mayo machines represent signs, rhubarb represents cabins. Hope you like it! (:
looks good, nice and organized XD
(@humble apex You leveled up to Villager! You can now join voice chat and all public channels. See #445729591533764620 for more info. Keep up the good work!)
@versed reef Yeah, I tried placing them but they don't show up in the render
Ah, gotcha
After a couple of hours working on my farm, it's now starting to look decent to me. Still feel like it needs something else
Is this a farm you made in SDV transferred to the planner?
Mhm
yes or no pls
Yes
okay
I think you should dedicate a bit more space to crops, its the best moneymaker
plus they add more life to the farm
I like the use of the grassy patches on the side for animals
Thank you, and yeah. I'm going to maybe add more to the left side of the middle lake.
I notice that the well is actually farther away than the pond
Yeah, I moved it over there. For some reason I liked it over there. I've been playing for about a week now, and I've been spending so much time on trying to get this farm. So, if I have odd placements, sorry for that. Still learning.
thats okay, just note that having the pond closer to the crops than the well sort of defeats the purpose of the well. But it's okay to have the well for asthetic reasons
could I see the rendered version?
Sorry, trying to figure out how to get the rendered one
Here you go, don't know why my melons/tomatoes aren't showing but yeah.
looking great!
aw thanks :3
I got my plan to render. (and I added actual crops and floor tiles and added the extra silos I would normally use)
Oh, yeah! MP cabins don't render. ๐ฎ
In some of the gaps are MP cabins. I set it up so if you have the full contingent of 4 friends.
(fixing a couple things and re-rendering. Didn't realize it was a popup so I never knew how to render! Too many blocker things on my browser. xD)
Blank areas are MP cabins. There is one behind the teleporter towers, too.
I like it! looks very profitable
My MP file isn't quite fully done with this setup yet, and we're easily getting about 150k per harvest, with me not necessarily selling all of it. lol
Forgot to set the greenhouse to completed. xD
I always forget to do that
Liek it
(@lyric scroll You leveled up to Villager! You can now join voice chat and all public channels. See #445729591533764620 for more info. Keep up the good work!)
hello guys. i kinda finished my layout and is there anything missed?
space filled with grass will be converted into nice looking areas with trees and wood roads (except the area within coop and barn), because making it in planer is pain
I think it looks really pretty, though all that grass is going to slow you down. ๐
:o woh
that looks really pretty.
dunno why your horse is opposite of your house but
Wait you have multiple horses
Your beehives only need one flower
not 16
as i said there won't be that much grass, only in the areas with barn and coop
also i've made more flowers in order to make this look more natural, you know :p
i will show you guys what i've made later, then i will put it in my saved world with more decorative elements in grass areas owo
also crystal path is a cabin
How do you guys do that thing with the whole farm screenshot
On PC you can upload to upload.farm I believe
Also in the planner there is a 'render in (season)' button but it is a pop-up so disable pop-up blockers for the planner (figured that out this weekend XD)
it should also give you the direct link in the planner on top left after rendering is complete?
When working in planner my buildings and objects are all cut off to the squares they inhabit (ex: the lamps are 2 high but they only show up as 1 high.) Is there a way to fix this?
that is how the planner is designed. They are cut off so you can clearly see the space they take up. To get in-game like image, use the purple rendering menu on top right
I think a way to temporarily show the full things without rendering could help, not for screenshots or anything, but for checking if things would be obscuring other things. This could just be an optional highlight or outline round the tiles that the top part of things would occupy.
Thank you, it would be handy as a toggling option but it's okay to quickly render it also :D
Who says you can't farm in Winter? ๐
https://upload.farm/static/images/4/1FvBkI/1FvBkI-m.png
Has anyone looked into exporting the saves from the planner? I've done some work reading and modifying the XML for my farm - but don't want to retread existing ground.
Hey everyone, I'm one of the developers behind upload.farm. I just wanted to let you know that I have updated the site to handle the multiplayer cabins when rendering plans . ๐
Nice! That's cool.
nice!
so if I want to come back later, all I have to do is press save? do I need to do anything else?
Keep the url you get after saving. The URL changes after you have pressed save, that is the link to your plan which you can either use yourself or share with others
gotcha
@warm linden Have you ever thought about using an account for saving or using cookies or something? Maybe as another option?
Jack, just add trees and grass in the empty spaces. You could also add junimo huts to your crop fields. And don't forget you need lightning rods somewhere
i have 9 i think spread out under the grass in the pens for infinite grass source
Wow
yeah adding grass and trees would look nice, and its also just a supply of hay and wood
dang.. Now I feel like I need to redo my farm x'D
the tree farm does make it look a bit bad though, Im grinding wood at the moment
You don't want path right next to fruit trees or they won't be able to grow. Also, you have very little crop space, I would add a lot more.
@night eagle I have. I have even thought about implementing a simple solution like localStorage or such, but just haven't had the moments to do it.
i only made a few changes. can i post it still?
of course, why couldn't you?
I didnt put the pathing until they had grown up all the way : )
I think the localstorage solution would likely cause more complaints/confusion than the current system...
once I cut down all those trees, Ill def add more crop space
it might @sudden cove but it also might save people from losing their work in case they don't know how to check history or forgot to save / share the link
then again it hasn't been too big of a problem afaik
so I'm not too worried
I guess having both wouldn't hurt
I'm guessing people would be more hyped about things like:
- moving groups of things at once
- showing "full sprites" in the planner
- copy-paste "selections" (close to #1)
How does one be able to take Farm images? :0
there are multiple ways
if you want to have an image of your saveGame file, just go to https://upload.farm
if you use the planner (https://stardew.info) just use the purple rendering menu which will give you an image like the one above
oooo thank you!
@lethal cipher That layout is amazing! So much honey! Don't forget scarecrows for the fields on the left though, and your stable might get annoying to get to depending on often you use it.
And yeah hpeinar, I would be more excited for moving groups of stuff around and a "copy-pasting" option.
Oh and silos!
Don't forget those :)
Your obelisks are about as far away from your farmhouse as you could get... Don't you use them?
Maybe you could put the obelisks among the trees below and to the left of the farmhouse?
i dont really use the obelisks :P i just put them there in case
i like walking for some reason
This is my Spring 1 of Year 3 on the Forest farm. I would love to hear thought on it! https://upload.farm/static/images/4/1FvZjZ/1FvZjZ-m.png
Did you build that or
This is what my farm currently looks like (end of summer, year 2)
@craggy stag that is my current save file :)
๐ nice @rigid grail
Thanks @craggy stag!
is there a way to show the whole building in the stardew valley planner v2?
and not something like this https://i.imgur.com/r5quJjH.png
Render button at top right
Help! How do i decorate a house
in the game
you can buy furniture at robin's shop
or in a planner. I don't think there's a planer for house decoration tho
everyday it is different furniture on sale
I know where to buy furniture but i don't know how to make it look nice
oh
we can't possibly know what you like
idk i just searched up "stardew valley house interior designs" and there is some good stuff for inspiration there
i personally LOVE wooden houses
Yeah just try stuff out
I like to add plants, those always look nice
Hey the slime egg press icon is showing as the slime hutch
@midnight geyser - Is SMAPI set up to allow mods to use the AssemblyLoader?
I'm just implementing the option if a map maker wants to actually code his respawns / Map Type, rather than using a particular set of JSON(s)
Not sure why you're asking in #farms-and-outfits. ๐
But nope, there's no API to load extra DLLs programmatically after the mod load process. The normal method in that would be to make actual SMAPI mods that have a dependency on your mod.
Idk why I'm in here too
just found out about stardew planner cause of the discord. my prayers have been answered
odd question, but is there a way to load a default map in the planner, with all the trees and rocks and logs in the way from day 1?
or a map with only the bigger logs and rocks?
Iโm not sure, but Im pretty sure you could just upload a game file thatโs on day 1
(@signal mesa You leveled up to Villager! You can now join voice chat and all public channels. See #445729591533764620 for more info. Keep up the good work!)
i'm confused. but alright?
@signal mesa yeah, you can upload savegame file
Is the day 1 farm always the same for each map though?
That is my big question! :p
I found a cool way to plant your trees in the greenhouse
works well for what I plan to do
Definitely. ^-^
It sounds like a few of those locations are glitched with the current beta, but at most a few spots are unuseable and hopefully that'll be fixed. ๐
When I try to render my farm the on planner, nothing happens. is this normal ?
Oh wait, I got it, they give you a link but I didn't see it lol
It is also a popup. I have a blocker so I thought it didn't work for ages. xD
im having
such serious issues
i really just wanna do something on planner and transfer it to my game
but apparently that isn't easy
because i try to plan....AND THIS HAPPENS
indeed, the planner is not meant to be used that way
the middle row is only watered becuase of elliot <33333
but anyway
jesus
everything is a mess because whatever i plan, i can't seem to correctly plan it out in the actual game and have it set up right
i resorted to putting down sprinklers where i want the jumino hut
because i can't do anything right
and this also happened
like i thought it would be fine and i had ran out of iridium sprinklers because no batteries
i also never buy the right amount of seeds so pls don't question that
not sure if i should get rid of fences and try to work something out
Hey how do you actually save the plan as an image? I press save but idk what it does
gives you an unique url
Save gives you a URL you can use later
Purple export button for image
if you want an image, use the purple rendering menu
gosh I'm slow tonigh... :p
y'all wanna see my ugly af plan?
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
(the second stable is the tractor house)
How many of the coops and barns will you be using for animals?
how bigs the inside of a stable again
Also, those stables are really far from the house, you may want the horse a bit closer
thought thered be a stable interior choice on the planner but i cant see one
A stable doesn't have an inside per say, but the footprint is 3wide2tall
Are you referring to a different building?
a shed my b lol
ah crud. i cant fit 118 kegs in that
I believe 67 is the standard layout
If you use a deluxe barn you can fit 135
But that's expensive
was planning on doing 9 sheds. one with kegs and each other one filled with kegs
That is a lot of room, though. I see now what people are using a bajillion barns. xD
and have it so i have my greenhouse full of ancient seeds and then have a weekly cycle and just have non stop iridium star quality ancient wine being made weekly
Well you can put one or two outside each to get a few more per shed
Yeah if you want to min/max the farm is way better once you have the money
But I don't like how that looks
im sitting on like 2 mil rn
and tbh i was only gunna do it if it fit nicely
id rather not have to do like 9 deluxe barns
Yeah
though looking at stardew planner 9 barns isnt that ugle spacing wise
itd be 536k a week. thats pretty good
just bought the game with steam summer offers, any good standard farm layout for the newer version?
@night eagle thanks for the input. I had horse whistle mod and the second one being the tractor, it's down there because the crops are. Plus you can summon it to you just like the horse with the whistle.
All of those coops and barns will be for animals. Will be a dairy farm. No pigs sheep or rabbit, all chickens cows and goats.
I won't be grazing them, hence the lack of enclosure.
Too many to graze, not enough space. ono'
@rocky condor newer version standard farm is the same as old version standard farm. It hasn't changed
I was asking for a farm layout, like something you would do on the stardew planner
I know. But you said "for the newer version"
There are a lot of really nice farm layouts online. The standard farm is the most popular, so there are bound to be plenty if you Google it
r/FarmsofStardewValley
@haughty musk what are you going to do with 9 deluxe barns? That is 1224 machines!
Can I assume you have a mod for storing hay, TuftedDeer?
@night eagle the chest will have a lot of hay in it and automate will fill the silo
Then my only suggestion to plant some trees! :P
Okay! Thanks for the input!
@rigid grail have 1 full of kegs and the other full of casks. And each week with the greenhouse full of ancient fruits put all the ancient frut into wine. then the wine into iridium star win that takes 8 weeks. so will eventually have it so each week i get 116 ridium star ancient fruit wine
Gotcha. What mod are you using to make the casks work outside of the cellar?
Yeah I'd like to know too, that sounds useful
Right Overlord? I would probably make less wine and put more into aging it. Right now I think the cellar comfortably holds 125 and uncomfortably holds 189. I've been meaning to try a design that holds 186 and 3 chests (to hold empty casks when reloading).
Wait you cant use casks outside the cellar
dang
@rigid grail @night eagle didnt know you cant age in sheds rip.
Currently just went and made it so im making jelly in 2 sheds cause im too lazy to do like 1000 casks and 9 deluxe parns would take a while
There might be a mod if you are okay with not playing vanilla.
yeah theres a mod someone just posted in the #making-mods-general channel
tbh i just play vanilla cause im lazy
ill probably mod after i 100%
I was planning out my farm, tabbed out for like 5 minutes, and the page reloaded, erasing all my progress!
I am pissed
Really pissed
Ugh. That's happen to all of us! Definitely frustrating.
I have a lot of empty space idk what to do with. (Fyi the sticks next to the chests are signs)
should i just use it for farming?
oh heck i forgot silos
i have to have silos
can you throw the link to the plan in here? ๐
okay sure
how do i do that
oh i see
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
hmm maybe i should use wood floor instead of cobblestone
For the animals you might consider something like this: https://stardew.info/planner/wicked-cobra-56/
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
It gives 9 grass spaces per animal and enough silos to get through the winter.
Assuming you max out your animals at 12 per barn.
I would also look at using quality sprinklers instead of iridium since you will get those first.
Things I didn't put in here: I forgot to add the trees back in and forgot a space for grass growing.
no i have a ton of iridium sprinklers
gotcha ๐
also i updated my map to have wood floor: https://stardew.info/planner/yellow-firefox-20/
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
ah fuck i'm gonna have to move all of these trees to make room for animals
but i can do that when i execute the plan in sdv
any ideas for unused space?
according to this guide to have self sustaining pastures you need 9 spaces per animal. https://www.reddit.com/r/StardewValley/comments/4kgub5/guide_creating_a_selfsustaining_grass_patch_for/
you could have an orchard or forest.. I did that around the SE lake in my forest farm.
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
or open it up to more farm land.
hmm
Just so you know vertical paths need to be two wide for horses to get by so the well and those furnaces are too close together.
I just had a spring thunderstorm. I got 18 batteries from it! So you might want to add some more lightning rods too ๐
how many barn coop and slime hutch that you need on farm? and most importantly how many silos to store enough hay for all of the animals? since idk how many I should put (currently planning the layout)
Silos: hold 240 pieces of hay each. So I would have enough silo space for 28 x number of animals to get through winter.
As for the buildings, it depends on what you want to do. Many farmers repurpose deluxe barns since they can hold 136 machines. For self sustaining grass, you need 9 spaces per animal. And I have never used the slime hutch.
Oh I nvr think to not having the slime hutch, thanks for the answer and giving me the idea ๐
np
use earase tool
so 1 at a time. great
why? just drag the area you want to erase?
the only thing it doesn't erase are building like objects, but grass / twigs etc will get removed in the full area
you don't have to remove grass 1 block at a time
OH that drag area is very helpful
I wanted to keep the bigger logs and rocks. To see how much I can farm before I upgrade my tools
The drag selection should leave the bigger logs and rocks as is
Well trees need a space between them, so you'll want to plan for that
Maybe put the kegs in a shed as well? You could fit a lot more
I like the orchard look though!
I think the trees are 3x3 so there is already a space between them?
Also. thanks. the click and drag does keep the larger rocks and logs, its pretty amazing
All your farms are so well planned and mine are just... everywhere lol
Fruit trees need the 3x3, but regular trees also need a single space between them
Well people here would be happy to help you plan your farm if you want to share what you have so far Viviboo
I... planted my first scarecrow in a place thats good enough to cover my crops. now i'm running out of scarecrow space and is wondering
how much should i overlap their space. or nah
I overlap a lot with scarecrows. They are pretty cheap. If cost is a concern then I recommend a one space vertical overlap.
OK.
I was thinking shifting one square up or down and Moving like... 8?16? 15 if you start on the scarecrow at 0.
But. Then I realized. How do I work around the fire stumps... I only have one scarecrow rn
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
What's stopping you from making more scarecrows?
Also, how far along in the game are you? That's just a lot of crops for early game
I just planted the spring wild seeds and a a couple more
I usually run out of stamina around 10 am. Then I run around town picking up every foragable item and trash can
Day 12. 8)
also, i don't want to make more scarecrows. it will ruin the aesthetic 8P
ill make more space on the bottom trees thank you Overlord_Odin
Just restarting the game today, which farm should I go with this time.. always done standard or wilderness
Forest is nice. The foraging map.
Thats good enough for me!
I hope you enjoy it!
I should do.. I rarely do much foraging so it'll be different
(@silent plinth You leveled up to Villager! You can now join voice chat and all public channels. See #445729591533764620 for more info. Keep up the good work!)
How should I improve my farm?
Also I am using automate so don't mind the bee house
there should only be nine of those in each square normally
You could always add a fruit tree grove in either of those bottom left rectangles
Unless you want more crop space
yeah, good idea. Thanks
You could add some junimo huts for the crops! You can just replace 2nd and 5th scarecrows with huts and all the crops will still be covered
Maybe add paths to the north and south entrances of the farm as well?
beep
@night eagle I thought of doing that but it wouldn't be in the center
What wouldn't be in the center?
Just came out with this plan today... Not the optimal one but I liked it ๐
woah
do u want help making it I've only had stardew for a week or so but im more than willing to help out if you need it
Thank you @vague wharf ๐ but I'm playing with my husband and this is our little project
We're going through the Winter Y2... I do believe everything will get ready during the following Spring
nice
@night eagle The hut
I mean, just put them in the middle. They'll take up a two spaces, but it's not that noticeable.
is there a way you can select whole areas to move instead of moving all of the items individually?
no
alright, so this is my first try with the software
please be constructive, I want to know what I can do better
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
Zen that looks really good
honest to god im new to the game but ik that potatoes and strawberries do really good during summer
spring*
Gotta save up for the strawberries though and make sure you have the cash in hand
you want all the seeds you can get
well i would recommend moving all your crops as close as possible to the farmhouse so you can reach them
and rhubarb you can only get if you've unlocked the desert
and do you have ancient seeds?
oh yeah and since green beans grow on a trellis and you can't walk through them i would recommend moving one of the rows so you have normal crops between the rows of green beans so it's easier to navigate
I should have picked up Rhubard at the store now I wanna make Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
ooh yum
Thatโs enough imo
yeah, I've read about grass on fences, so I planned a little for that too
cool
There was a reddit post saying that for self replenishing grass, you need 9 tiles per animal.
this is a farm i made using the planner if you wouldnt mind please do a react ๐ if u think its bad and ๐ if good also if good but could improve do
Also a link to the planner page for it so you can mess with it https://stardew.info/planner/pretty-rabbit-96/
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
It doesn't look to me like you can get into that row of chicken coops in the fences.
you can its just they are so closley put together it seems there is no space
What are the coops and barn in the bottom left for?
I would suggest taking all three silos and placing them together above the small pond in the top right. Also, don't forget that having a flower by your bee hives will make the honey more profitable. And at least initially, you're going to need way more than one of each basic tree tapped to get enough pine tar/oak resin/maple syrup.
Also, this channel doesn't support reactions, so people can't really give you a thumbs up/down like you asked :P
check out my farm! the sdv planner really helped me put it together. would like some tips on what to do with all the empty space https://upload.farm/1FyZfl#mainFarm
how do i take a pic of my farm
from the one in game or the one you planned in the planner?
the one in the game
https://upload.farm/ => upload your save game file here
uh how's dis
from planner you can generate screenshot with the purple menu on top right
oh ok
@muted lake Do you have the statue of perfection yet? You could upgrade your sprinklers to iridium as well as expand the amount of crops you have. Maybe add some junimo huts too?
Maybe extend a path down to the exit at the bottom of the farm?
does anyone know of a good forest farm layout?
@night eagle yes i have it. the problem is spring just started so i don't have enough battery packs to get iri sprinklers. i will soon tho. and yeah i'm growing starfruits to save up for junimo huts.
@lilac trail I will let others say if this is a good layout, but I do like my forest layout. This is a picture on Spring 1 Year 3. There are a couple things I would do differently but I feel committed to it.
@muted lake if you are playing the beta, I think there is a bug that let's you buy more than one iridium sprinkler from Krobus. You just have to keep talking to him after you buy one.
it's ok i will just get battery packs the legit way
How do you get a Jumino hut?
No problem, just thought I would mention it. The skull caverns at the hardest for me!
@reef yew you unlock the Jumino huts through the Wizard after completely the Community Center.
Oh. We finished the community center in beta. Do we just talk to the wizard?
Go to the train tracks.
Got it
(spaced out, don't mind me) lol
My New Farm Plan, Any Suggestions?
You probably want a bit more space for your animals
Both the furnace room(I'm assuming has all your mining ores and similar stuff) and horse are a bit far from your house.
Might be better or more convenient if it's closer.
It would be good to have more space for the animals unless you are going to buy or grow a bunch of hay somewhere. Also I noticed there are some crops on tiles that cannot be tilled.
Also pretty sure the game won't let you build right at the cave entrance.
thanks for the suggestions
This is my current farm layout (1st Year, Winter). I am wanting to expand (obviously) but I don't know how to go about it. Any suggestions. In case you are wandering, the scarecrows I place represent my rarecrows and I didnt want them cluttering my chests. Also the trees represent either artisan trees (dont remeber what types) and my oak resin tree.
Looks great so far!
thx
Might want to save some trees on your farm for easy tapping for oak resin so you can stockpile Kegs
Also, scarecrows have quite a large area of coverage so you don't really need that many
i still have trees in my farm ( i just didnt display them) also the scarecrow are my rarecrows which i didnt want them to clutter my chest space so i put them like that
ah
thx though
mb i cant read
dont worry about it
This is my current Farm. What should I do on the left the of the farm?
(@fast cloud You leveled up to Villager! You can now join voice chat and all public channels. See #445729591533764620 for more info. Keep up the good work!)
Nice farm
thx ๐
@sacred root I wasn't going for a specific playstyle, just something all-round.
I suggest one of those buildings that host slimes inside and building an area surrounding it at its uses.
the game cant identify what corp i plant?
I'm not sure what you're asking?
@hallow fog After youโve already planted it, no. However, there is a mod you can install that will give you tags for your plants! Iโll find it in a bit.
I need some Type naming input
Each folder in the directory is a type that corresponds to a type of option control.
this channel has never been the place to plan mods
there used to be a 3rd channel in modding to discuss mod planning
ah, i see
looking good
i done the same just with the cooking achievement
@fast cloud but u know, u actually need only 1 silo
But I have the Space ๐
yeah ok i guess u beated me xD
๐
weakness disgust me XD
this is good, just need to adjust some of the seed price and sell price
I think you are dead
happy i could convey that :)
definitely it looks like multiplayer fun.
i like the set up
How can i fill in the gaps instead of using farm land?
tree farm, more animals, extra wood area, storage, nice little nature kinda place, more sheds, more beehives
Gem farms?
What are you asking?
@leaden juniper you might want scarecrows
helloo ^^ im new here but this is the farm im working towards! everyones plans look so great! gl to all
aw nvm
no photos
haha
a few more chat lines and you can share images
there it is :D i know its barely efficient but i love it and i love the foraging farm its nice and small and cozy
yey! i see everyone posting the normal farm but this is my first time playing and i looked up good beginners farms and was suggested to go with foraging because its small and managable. im more used to teh game now and i could probably handle the regular one but this has really grown on me im so glad its the one i picked
idk if this is the right channel to ask this but im wondering what everyones days/week planner is? like a routine you follow everyday 'i go to the mines 2x a week' or i have a day i dedicate to running around giving gifts' idk i just wanna be more concise with my routine
like rn i get up, work my way down to water crops, go down to the barn, milk and collect eggs and give pets, then go up to cheese mayo and wine makers and drop things off then go up to the cave to forage and after that i just wander around aimlessly forgetting small things i should be doing like checking crab pots daily or to give gifts etc
I like the foraging farm and it's my first farm too.
But you should probably move the beehives a little closer. A flower'd bee gives so much more money.
As for daily planning. I do luck related things when I have good luck.
And fishing or other stuff when bad luck
For daily planning, I always head over to my animals first and get their products in machines, check the greenhouse (there are a couple trees), then collect any harvestable crops. For weekly planning I have Fermentation Friday where I flip my wine kegs and change my cask timer.
what's the best way to have 116 kegs?
I tried two layouts but I'm not sure yet
https://i.imgur.com/yXkzgWk.png
https://i.imgur.com/1ieVWLC.png
the problem with the second one is, that it's only 101
and I'd have to put the other 15 somewhere else
the first one looks kinda cool but I'd have to walk all the way around it to collect all the wine

Is there a reason for 116? Because you could fill out the outer row, too, so both are double rows.
because I have 116 ancient seeds in my greenhouse
Ah!
Put the extras along the front to either side of your 'entrance' row instead? easier access, should still be able to look balanced.
but 15 is an uneven number :(
Put the last one down in front with enough room to get by? Like it's the stick holding a sign up? xD
horrific
xD
hm, what's the best I could do with 15 kegs
maybe something like this https://i.imgur.com/y1qDbCO.png
Oooo, that's pretty.
I like that one @granite marsh . Looks like an island of Kegs.
@granite marsh very pretty keg setups
that's cool, i've never seen someone incorporate kegs into a visual thing
and i love when people use the light features! they look so nice at night
Thanks for the very positive feedback

https://i.imgur.com/Snr5eBx.png is it just me or does it almost create an optical illusion? it almost seems like the middle is nearer, like the whole thing is a ball
or I'm just retarded and should go to bed
Go home you're drunk

Aww yisssss that looks so good
Gotta copy that but replace the kegs with beehives

yeah it totally looks warped a bit
I definitely see an optical illusion there. I can't really stare at it for long (looking for what it looks like) without going cross-eyed. But it looks awesome!
it makes everything look round!
sofa i thought it was just shitty photo quality
but I clicked on it and it looked normal
o.O
Guys, it is possible to export farm map from planner and put it to game?
Thank you, i know about this mod. But it does not work correctly, a lot of errors. Maybe this mod needs an update...
Maybe, I'm not the author of it so I can't speak, it's not officially made by the planner so I can't offer any support for it
I don't think there are any other ways, the planner was and is not meant to for exporting stuff back into the game
https://i.imgur.com/0a6FBLE.jpg ancient fruit wine farm
can probably be improved, but I'm happy with it for now
It's so pretty!!

That looks really nice!
that's prettyy
pretty pretty o:
ok, now you guys are exaggerating
its very pretty
thanks
I'll try to make the rest of my farm as pretty as the wine area - but it will take ages ๐
has anyone of you tried pixelart on your farm with colored chests?
Never thought of it. ๐ฎ
Can't you color the chests in vanilla? :- o
That is what they mean, place a chest, change the color of it. Place another chest, change the color. Make pixel art. ๐
the amount of wood that would take...
yeah... D:
ok, according to my math I "only" need 6240 wood
woo!!
wood is like 50 g a pop at robins right?
u only need 312k g to finish your project if that's the case lol
that would be 312k - I make that in one week
or I could just chop chop some trees :D
this chicken would also be lovely as a pixelart - however, the amount of wood needed for that would be much higher, hm
we love the chicken
this is my farm for now !! im pretty happy with it, but i feel like the area betwene the two ponds could be filled with something, and i wanted to add another barn or a coop but i dont have space unless i move everything else and thats a nightmare, id be happy to get some idea ๐ https://upload.farm/plan/1FByD7
regular farm is best
No way, the forest farm is best
not river
Well I would add flowers by your bee hives @gloomy pine so you make more from the honey. You'll probably want a few more regular trees as well for oak resin and that stuff. And if you want another barn or coop, but it in the bottom right, there's room there. You may also end up wanting more than a single shed, so that's something to consider
@night eagle I thought about putting coop/barn in the botto right corner but it seems so tight ;-; but ill consider it again, i really want a 3rd batch of animals
honestly i think you could put another barn and coop in the fenced in area and it wouldn't be too cramped
ill play around in the planner, maybe get a layout i like with more barns and coops, i didnt think of that
ty for the help guys ^^
@gloomy pine you could slide the barn and coop up on either side of the greenhouse.
yeah
Any improvements? I'm putting kegs in the top 2 stables, jars in the bottom, 2 player farm, fruit bat cave, tappers on trees, honey made in the quarry, and crystalariums are going into the cabin. Not sure if I'm missing anything.
coops?
coops, definetly coops.
I would not recommend coops for this layout. There are already 24 animals and grass space is limited here on the forest map. I would consider a fruit tree orchard.
but how are you going to make rabbits lose their legs
they just fall off
With the autograbber I don't see the purpose of chickens, rabbits, ducks, and dinos.
dinos are cool
Does stardew planner work if we are using a mod map ?
If it has that map, then yes... Otherwise not really?
@lilac trail lightning rods
how much money am i meant to donate for a room id
Sorry, what?
well aparently you want money for the room ids so how much otherwise im gonna just randomly send a amount which will probably be a dollar
What room id? What money? I'm so confused
what channel are you in
(@flint schooner You leveled up to Villager! You can now join voice chat and all public channels. See #445729591533764620 for more info. Keep up the good work!)
What do you mean?
for the love of
ok your in the stardew planner room
where people would ideally be discussing stardew planner
Yes
so if im in the stardew planner room
asking about room ids and how i donte for one in stardew planner room
perhaps i mean how do i donte for a room id on stardew planner
Oh sorry! I don't really know, I've never used those
@warm linden would have the answers to that
Totally forgot the planner even had that feature :P
@everyone
dont @e_veryone you attention whore
@muted lake I do have rods, look at the barn fence.
@flint schooner @everyone is disabled. So people don't get pinged when you do @everyone or @here. You can tell because it doesn't have an orange highlight
@lilac trail oh yeah I missed that
I would recommend putting fruit trees behind the sheds
put fruit trees in the green house
No worries
could someone give me examples of there farms ?
IT would help me build mine
I have the Mining map
i dont think ive ever actually seen someone with the mining map
i actually really like the mining map but i can never get a layout i feel comfortable with tbh
@flint schooner on the planner there is a Donation menu where there are options available. In reality, it doesn't really matter how you donate, if you feel you want to do it through any other channel (not PayPal or Patreon) I'm happy to accept any other means as well.
@warm linden will you accept payment in the form of man titty piccies cause i got some spectactula guy tits lol
I'm playing around with this one for my next farm
@somber patio
I'm thinking about moving my animals closer and my fruit trees further away though, so it's still a work in progress
I'm also probably goign to move my little artisan area on the top plateau over to the top left side to have more room for crops
i would recommend putting your cheese makers and mayo machines inside coops/barns so you have a lil more room to play with
Yeah--I wish that I could better visualize them on a map if I put them in there.
I keep worrying I'll forget about them.
I like the orchard section!
Thank you!--I'll probably add more trellis crops too to the other part. I think I like this map and I'd like to use it for my next playthrough.
I'm pretty new to the game so I'm still getting the hang of it. It is nice they have a planning tool out there though that is really good.
I came over from minecraft and all the weird squiggly bits in this map are driving me a LITTLE BIT crazy
like... the 1 pixel path leading into a two pixel path, and the two pixel path leading into a three pixel path XD that kinda stuff drives me nuts
Yeah there's a few weird places where it doesn't line up :P
I did a multiplayer layout! This is my first layout I do so here it is! :3 Hope you guys like it! ๐ https://upload.farm/plan/1FCXG6
(@versed otter You leveled up to Villager! You can now join voice chat and all public channels. See #445729591533764620 for more info. Keep up the good work!)
That's a lot of barns and coops! I would recommend you give them a bit more space? Like move two down to the bottom part of the farm where there's all that space and grass. Also, you'll probably want regular trees to so those could go up by the fruit trees or in the middle at the top.
Thinking of Starting a new save, what do you think of my honey farm?
Realised I couldve added sprinklers instead of using wells
Are you going to put a sprinkler in those bee squares too?
Probably not needed if it's enough flowers
@slim cliff I really like outlining the crops with trellises. I have not seen that before! I would still surround it with flooring to prevent weed damage. My only concern is how difficult with it be to harvest the honey without harvesting the flowers..
Yeah it probably will be a bit difficult to harvest honey without harvesting flowers, but if i do harvest a few flowers, its okay, because as you can see, i have loads for back up XD But if all else fails Ill just rearrange them. ANd yeah I really like the idea of the trellises being a kind of border of the plots but without wasting space
It looks good! You might want separate the sheds a bit more since you have plenty of space at the top of the farm.
hey guys, i planned this farm, what do you think?
I'm not sure I think it needs more slime hutches
needs just a bit more slime hutches and itโs perfect
agreed
Maybe just like, three more. you've got some space in the corners
Man, can you imagine being able to rotate buildings in this game? Game changer
I am just missing it, or does the planner not have coffee beans as an option?
Heyo trying to plan my farm (reached year 2) with a friend of mine but we both have the creativity of a rock so has anyone else planned and created a 2 man farm?
Hi! You could take a look at r/farmsofstardewvalley for some inspiration!
hpeinar also made a cool planner that we can use for free here https://mp.stardew.info/planner/
Plan your Stardew Valley farm with up to 4 friends simultaneously
@rigid grail I don't think it does, but why would it need then?
It has the other crops. I was just curious ๐
@static stag Linked the Multiplanner, https://stardew.info/planner/ => hree is the regular one
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
coffee might not be in indeed
probably missed it when adding others
Thank you for making the planners! Iโll make sure to send you some coffee money when my paycheck arrives ๐
hehe, apparently it's not the actual coffee that I need, but if someone would add the coffee plant and make a pull request, that'd be great : p
what year should I start rearranging my farm?
There we go made a adaptation of one of the posted stardew farms i found which i liked
I jumped back into my Riverlands farm to finish cleaning it up during Winter (Spring 1 Year 4). This was my second farm and I played it to show that is cramped but can still support a lot of crops. Not the prettiest though.
https://upload.farm/static/images/4/1FDdjm/1FDdjm-m.png
@last onyx I tend to start rearranging things during Winter Year 1 and then toward the end of the season after that.
@north violet I think this looks pretty good! Lots of space for growing grass for the animals. Definitely a good thing!
And a update with the stuff i missed
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
(@north violet You leveled up to Villager! You can now join voice chat and all public channels. See #445729591533764620 for more info. Keep up the good work!)
@last onyxWinter is the easiest season to move stuff around during, the year is up to you.
Is it more efficient to use iridium sprinklers everywhere.
Or use lots of barns and potted plants and fill each barn.
Efficient in what respect? Space? Time? The potted plants must be manually watered. Based on the amount of work that would require, I would say potted crops in large numbers are wildly inefficient.
hi guy, how can i get the save file from planner for my farm?
@round blaze the planner does not support downloading a save file of your plans to play with.
oh. i just want to add more cabins, do you how to do that.
How do you add more cabins in game? Go have Robin build them for you.
hello
Oh right. Sprinkler vs non rotating crops. I can see why sprinkler would be better hmm
Hello @gloomy pine, welcome to the server!
@signal mesa I think if you are really tight on space then it might help. But I don't think 136 pots is reasonable.
Would it fit like casks
Cus I know people who do that with cask, but those you only have to deal with almost once a month/season
Where that many pots. Is... Lots of blueberries....
I'm not sure if people have tried it out, but you may have trouble watering ones in the corner and it may not fit as many. Still, it would be pretty time consuming and probably not worth the effort.
Should I prioritise making my farm bieautiful before or wait until like end of year 2 ?
(@somber patio You leveled up to Villager! You can now join voice chat and all public channels. See #445729591533764620 for more info. Keep up the good work!)
@somber patio I recommend starting to rearrange and design the layout starting in Winter Year 1. But I wouldn't worry too much about making things pretty until you unlock the Junimo huts.
Ooh pretty
nice dood
hello @round blaze
Looks great @worn shell!
thanks guys!
i changed a few things
also i wanted some opinions on my multi player farm
mostly about my field space for my animals
i feel like its not big enough for each set of coop and barn
but not sure what i would do instead
also wow what a pain it is to find nice looking spots that arent cramped up for 3 stables
on this small map at least
Yeah the animals will probably eat the grass pretty quickly, but I don't you can do much about it without taking space away from something else. Although, you could put all your kegs and stuff like that in a shed to save some space.
omggggg i didnt even think about the shed space ๐คฆ tysmmmm big help!
No problem!
i could probably move the grass 2 rows right of the top barn with that and eliminate the inside pathway and space for the oil and cheese as well
is it? how much should i have
ohhh
wahhhhtttt
i thought you needed like at least one for each
nah
Oh and by the way, put the mayo machines and cheese press stuff inside the coop or barn, that will save space too
omgg you guys are amazing tysm
you can have multiple bee houses with only 2-3 flower
this is my first farm im setting up still in early stages so all your help is super appreciated
both my solo and multi player ones
such a newbbb
Yeah as long as the hive has a flower within the highlighted space on the planner it's good
also there are some room for silo behind the greenhouse
No worries! This is the place to ask :)
ok so add more silo behind greenhouse, reduce flowers, move cheese mayo oil and kegs into barn coop and shed respectively
and maximize field space for my bbs
also, put machines for slimes inside the slime hut
omg awesome ok
and... where you will put gold clock?
That's pretty late game, I'm sure they can figure it out later :P
do you guys have any ideas how to form my hives so i dont pull up the flowers but get the most out of that space my hives are in
i can put the clock above where the hives are ig?
maybe
I've been having trouble with a bee hive setup myself actually
me too
ah yea tricky stuff haha
I'm just collecting wild honey
I would just mess around on the planner until you have something you like
because I have no clue where should.I put those flowers
Well that's certainly a good min/max design, although I would recommend a sprinkler as well
I love the one flower in the middle
I mean
i do too
you don't need sprinklers for a fully grown crop/flower
oh i didnt know that :o
Right, but while it's growing
So a few days of upkeep and then you dont need to care
Maximum laziness
is that the same for crops that produce every few days after growth
Its called efficient
I think contineous plants are different
Efficiency is just having a sprinkler there and never thinking about having to water it
Cause they are in a "growth" state
btw
make sure place tappers on those tree in the down left corner
Yep
yep! thats my plan
man im so excited i never thought about planning til recently and having so many goals to work towards makes it so much more fun
you can put bee hives between tapped tree
the tappers supply for bees too?
no
just put them for more space
got you
nice! now its better
@north violet am I allowed to steal that beehive layout?
that layout is so nice and well organized
@granite marsh
how does everyone plan their sprinklers in the green house?
i was about to say omg show me if there is one
_<
this is the best i can do for now
but this is like half the fun of playing for me, planning everything out to look pretty
same
Has anybody done anything cool with grandpas shrine area? Im struggling to think of something to do right there
flowers grass and added stone statues and a little path leading up to it like a little grove would be cool
ive seen someone else do that and it looked so nice
it was like a curved path i think it was actually posted in this channel
cool
goodness that's pretty~
hello do i have to donate to use the stardew planner?
I think it's a website online?
i don't need it to save i just want to put stuff and see how it goes
i see it but it has this grey popup that won't let me put stuff down
(@short zephyr You leveled up to Villager! You can now join voice chat and all public channels. See #445729591533764620 for more info. Keep up the good work!)
ahh nevermind, it seems the pinned link was a mistake, just googling for another was the better idea
Ah, alright, glad you got it sorted ^^
You were probably looking at the multiplayer version of the planner, which you do need to donate to use. https://stardew.info/planner/ is totally free to use.
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
@rocky hill you actually forgot to put the horse
but still an awsome famr !
farm*
@somber patio the horse? The stable is next to the house
umm, hi, i'm new here and I read the rules and welcome but just wanted to make sure---this is where I'd come for help developing a mod I want to make, yes..?
nop
@prime sonnet there's a mod channel for that
@clear storm okay, thank you, sorry i wasn't sure
np u just keep doing ur thing
@rocky hill sry my bad
