That.. i don't know.. as the forest map tiles are kinda wonky.. there's this "dig-able: true/false" property for each tiles and it's not that easy to test imo.. but they'll still dig up truffles in the hardwood area.. still, i suggest using the standard map for max profit
i just did some tests, I didn't look at the game code for truffle spawn condition, so im not entirely sure if it needs "dirt tile", non obstructed tile, or a tile with "dig-able" property (you can dig/hoe and plant on them)..

In regards to your farm plan, since space is so limited, you may want to consider getting rid of the fences around your crops. Also, I would make sure you figure out where you're putting scarecrows and maybe also junimo huts in the future. The same is true for the animals area, you can just extend the fences to the edge of the island so they aren't taking up so much space.
Also, you're probably going to want at least a few regular trees so you can get maple syrup, pine tar, and oak resin. Maybe the bottom island since you don't have anything there yet?

Had a little go at another plan, The reason i dont have iridium sprinklers down is because I currently cant get them but can use Quality sprinklers now as I want to sort this out as soon as. Everything else is what i want my farm to look like in the near future. My trees for my syrups will be placed near the train tracks to save space, though by the seems of this i could place them on my farm. Ideas welcome 😃

The only suggestion I can even think of is that you could put the crystalariums and the furnaces in verticals rows and have a bit more space there. It gets a bit narrow in the current setup. Other than that, it looks good!

I recommend you get a silo as well. With a silo on your farm, cutting grass will often drop hay which gets stored in the silo, so you dont have to waste money buying it in marnie's shop.
