Sorry for being so abrupt about this, i'm paddy, and i've been recently trying to play the game on Steam (i'm a Windows 10 user) as a gift from a friend, but.. it's not working to me for some reason? All it does is open up a white, blank window (Steam says it's running even though nothing happens) that eventually stops loading and just closes down... shucks,,
I've been trying to solve this for a while now; also tried using near every tip given in the Steam community session, but nothing changed.
Is there any specific way for me to solve this issue? I have a video recording how it opens and closes.. but it's only up through a YouTube link since Discord won't let me send it, would sending it be helpful?

theres a glitch that can duplicate items but im not sure if we’re allowed to exploit glitches so you can try googling that 
another way would be to use the cjb item spawner mod to get one instead OR get them the golden scythe (unless thats the one that disappeared)

I had a similar problem, and I ended up finding them. It was those ones where they are hidden in trees, such as the tree by the bird gem pillars, the tree north of the island farm, etc
For some reason a few didn’t show up for me the first time I looked for them
That might be what you are missing. Otherwise I’d suspect it’s fishing, farming, or mining the musscle ore thingies

okok team, new to the discord in search of some crash help
i play for about 4 to 5 days of in game time and then i get insane lag (moving 4 or 5 blocks at a time and massively delayed interaction)
eventually it gets to a point where it is no longer playable and if left long enough just crashes entirely

Hi all! I need some help! My brother started playing Stardew Valley too and yesterday after saving, all his settings went back to where he started before playing that day... by this I mean after saving, his TV plant, table and fireplace was in his inventory and his money went back from 1000+ to 246, so he had to start over again, which is super frustrating because it happened two times in row. We checked the saved map but ofcourse it only has the file at the stage he went back so we can’t find the file where he actually was in the game... the game was downloaded on the computer via GOG, are there more people who have experienced this? Yeah that’s the thing, he went to sleep to save everything he did and then his character wakes up again with all the belongings in his inventory and his money back to where he started, like there is a bug in the game or something

It will work, it's still on version 1.4 and will never probably get multiplayer, I wouldn't recommend it personally probably
