Well, we tried the repair tool, we tried forcing the update. cant delete the framework as its preinstalled onto his computer, so if that really is the problem i dont know whether we can do anything about it

Saves

The game saves progress when the in-game day ends, i.e., when the farmer goes to bed, collapses from exhaustion, or collapses at 2am. All progress during a day is lost if the player quits the game without ending the day.

Hmm. I don't see any hint in that log. Can you try it again with Hamachi, and post a screenshot of (a) the game when it shows the connection error, and (b) the Hamachi settings for the player who can't connect?

Here is a mystery to me. Several years ago I was playing SDV in the city I lived in. My parents and sisters each had a save in my game. Then I move to a new location and none of the saves are there. THEN I eventually move back to the previous city and suddenly all thise saves that disappeared are back, but the one I'd made in another city is gone. What's with that?

I'm trying to install SMAPI on android, I put the dlls in the apk, reinstalled, put the obb back in but it gets stuck in the logo
If it's worth anything it didn't ask for storage permissions, I had to give it manually. Still gets stuck

Depends, If its a cutscene at the main persons house it might be all players watching it

2.  Open the Cloud tab present at the left side of the screen. Check if the option “Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for the applications which support it” is checked.
3. Next click on the Library tab present at the top side of the Steam client. Here all of your games will be listed.
4. Right click on the game and select Properties. Then navigate to the Updates tab present at the top of the window.
Here at the bottom of the window, you will see an option “Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for [game’s name]”.

If you have both the options enabled, it means that your game is being backed up by the Steam Cloud.```

Hi, my sister and i have been playing for a while on the same farm. We stopped playing after a while (i got a prismatic sword) and when we booted it up last night, we were reverted back to before i got it, a whole season. Currently no. You could try and set up something so drive syncs your save files automatically, but you have to manually copy over the save files to the mobile version as far as I know

Howdy please don't send me to the guillotine for my incompetence but I have all the files installed in my mod folder, and then added the SDV mod in the mod n contents folder by dropping n replacing. I still get the flower bug and new locations don't load. Wat do. If there's a FAQ for this probably common question I would be interested as the ones linked in the readme don't address this at all.

Hey there! I'm new to the Stardew community but have been playing on and off for a bit now.
I recently bought the Android app and tried to follow the directions for transferring the save file from my old phone to my new one this morning because the old one was busted.

So I have the save file, and have put it into the proper folder but the game doesnt see it. I have tried removing old saves and all that as suggested in the wiki, but nothing has helped. I'll snag some screenshots real quick if that helps. I'm just wondering if I can save my file at all or if the cause is lost.

Yeah I thought that was what I was remembering, and the PC version definitely doesn't have any .dat, so I guess that's an artefact of the copying.

That did it! :) The phone prompts you with a warning that removing the extension will break the file but it didnt. The game was able to read the files and it works!

@hexed apex It looks like it wasn't installed correctly. Stardew Valley Expanded is a mod which adds a lot of new content and areas to the game. It needs to be installed in a very specific way; see the install guide, FAQs, and common issues at https://github.com/FlashShifter/StardewValleyExpanded/wiki. If you look over that and follow the guide and still need help, ask in #making-mods-general

Hi there! I keep running into this problem where after one of the cut scenes, another one tries to go and it kinda crashes and isnt able to play and crashes the game, im have sampi and it tells me it runs into an error of some sort. ive had the error two times in a row. i do have some mods that could use updatng but i wasnt sure if that was really the cause. i jjust recreated it for the third time and it seems to happen when the sam 8 hearts event happens ( i think thats the event atleast) where you meet him after dark. thank you !

Looks like it's not installed correctly. That one needs to be installed in a very specific way; see https://github.com/FlashShifter/StardewValleyExpanded/wiki/Install-guide for more info.

I haven't played Stardew valley on my computer in months and when I tried to start it today I get:
No suitable graphics card found.
Could not find a direct3D device that supports the XNA Framework HiDef profile.
Verify that a suitable graphics device is installed.
Make sure the desktop is not locked, and that no other application is running in full screen mode.
Avoid running under remote Desktop or as a windows service.
Check the display properties to make sure hardware acceleration is set to Full.

I've been working on this for about 4 hours now and I can't get it to start.

I found this issue occurred only after I updated my graphics card from a 560 TI to the GTX 1080. I thought it was remnants of an old display driver (since Duet and iDisplay were both on my PC back when I had the 560 TI). Perhaps there's something about the newer generations of NVIDIA cards that interact with Duet display?```
