you can have + x attack stat with: -weight or slime gatherer
you can have + x crit chance with: -weight or slime gatherer
you can have + x crit power with: -weight or slime gatherer
you can have slime slayer with: -weight or slime gatherer
you can have + speed with: -weight or slime gatherer
Therefore: weight and slime gatherer are a secondary stats.
attack, crit chance/power, speed boost or extra damage to slimes is a main stat.
you cant have two main stats but you can have two secondary stats.

SDV is set roughly turn of the millenium, is generally how I'd look at it. The internet exists and is good enough to do useful stuff, but rare enough that not everyone has it, especially in rural areas. CRT displays are most common, but wealthy families might have a large flatscreen plasma instead. Many rural households do not have a home computer.

Statue of Blessings can give +luck, which actually increases the amount of XP you'll earn when doing mining runs and the like, as well as iridium scythe vastly speeding up harvest for huge crop fields, as well as added golden crackers to the loot pool early while you're still grinding XP
