Not rly, it's usually due to your graphics card not meeting the minimum requirements. So turning all graphics qualities/textures down to the minimum helps some people. In that regard, a mod that lets you turn the graphics down further might help? But it's mostly just due to hardware

Yeah, a couple ppl only experienced it a couple of times but realised it's because their graphics driver wasn't updated, or had cut out and the pc had defaulted to their integrated/microsoft driver. Or i guess if the GPU is also handing other tabs etc, that could draw from it.
But it's always to do with the GPU/vram

Like if you have JUST enough vram to load the textures, you may not usually have an issue, but if anything else is going on on your pc it may start the glitch

I'd delete all your manual attempt files for this mod so it doesnt mess with anything, and then just download the thunderstore mod manager. Open the app, select peak, and then type in the mod and it does all the work for you

Hey guys, 1 quick question. We've encountered a bug where upon resurrection near a campfire, some of the people who have been resurrected just fly off and die. It's consistent for people who joined later on in the run, so they basically can't play the game and it sometimes happens to the people who were there from start.

Alright...hate to be this guy, but I've tried looking in the forums, in this chat, and through my console.log and nothing seems to help me find a solution, so I need help.

Whenever I try to play PEAK with mods (client side, host only etc, any mod), the game freezes. I run the game in DX12 as specified, and all mods are up to date. I've ran them by themselves to test it out, and it still freezxes my game. Vanilla works fine, but even client-sided mods like everest or 3rd person cam doesn't work. Can someone possibly guide me through on how to fix this? It's frustrating because I've been at it for about a week now

i'll be honest, i don'treally know how to help you. low level photon is something i'm still trying to learn as well. good old chat gpt says that it's client only and you need to send keep alives. i assume you're using that new peak level editor from the modding discord? you might have to bring it up to him that he should have photon send keep alives in that situation

yeahh i used to avoid overwolf, but it seems to have gotten a lot better resource wise recently (for myself at least) , which is why i just get thunderstore. unfortunately a lot of the other apps i use are forced onto overwolf so at this point i just suck it up and use it hahaha

yeah i feel that, i just remember overwolf used to be hated by a lot of people to the point they wouldnt download it no matter what lol. it has gotten better over time but ehh, im just glad i found gale the window is half the size 🤣

if you're using a mod manager like r2modman or thunderstore, you press the launch modded button
then it loads the game modded, from steam

by design if you launch the game on steam and not the mod manager, it loads vanilla
you can techncally put launch parameters on steam so it launches modded

is launching it from r2modman bad? its usually the way to go because then you can update your mods before you launch the game
launching modded through steam means you get no mod updates until you do it manually in r2modman again

What if I install the mods on r2modman and I paste them on the peak Steam folder?

but then you might as well launch it from r2modman as you can quickly update mods there too

that sounds like a mod doing that, using r2modman or manual installs doesnt flag you as a cheater
