keep food with u, use heatpacks only if needed (if you're dying from cold). try to find a route which you don't need maximum stamina for, if you can't progress in any way, change your route or go to a different side

typically if you plan it well you can make it up kiln with absolutely nothing but somedays you need a chain or rope launcher for some segments

cooked and well-done give the same stats but there's a bug where well-done reverts to base stats if you switch off/drop the well-done item before eating it

For the scrolls, ive heard that what page you get is dependent on the current progress of the steam achievement, but mine isnt updating? I'll say that the wiki is very handy (for scrolls and the usual important item locations) and I can respect the work into documenting the locations and the game-like styling but yeah, it's pretty annoying that is labelled as "official" when it's not.

And that spotify album linked on the top at all times with music that is not related to the game at all is pretty disingenous imo. Both of these things should be changed. I really don't understand why they made it look like an official game album when it's not, it can easily make anybody think that's official songs since it's not stated as fanmade. (Also the countdown is just to the next map change btw)

There's definitely better and more clear ways of promoting their own work.

I almost escaped on my first climb of the day, then I took a 4 inch fall that shattered every bone in my body

i brought my scroll to the alpine and opened it there, but it was still just the occult scroll i've gotten a bunch. can anyone help me figure out how to get the fifth scroll to work? (scroll 5)

yeah i opened the scroll on alpine so i should've gotten the Rule 0, but i got occult. was on default difficulty too, not tenderfoot

No but you can farm specific entries, if you save the scroll and dont read it until you get to alpine/cald then it'll generate 5-8
