it's intimidating i think, learning from scratch. i think a lot of artists are put off by needing to make 12 frames or even just 8 frames per second, because they're so used to making One frame for a drawing

they focus too much on polishing too quick

onion skinning is gold, whatever you're animating on, does it have this?

or ghost frames, whatever you'd like to call it, letting you see before and after

it helps tremendously with consistency

also using the pose to pose workflow instead of straight ahead can help a lot too(needs onion skin tho)
