best frost cure is prevention, and second best is cure all. lantern cant overcome bad winds, and you dont always have the space/hands to deploy it. on ascent 4 and lower the lantern is just used to shake off cold damage before a medium/large climb, or to take a quick regen between cold rock climbs

oh right, another thing is to look out for the hazards. geysers will push you off the mountain (and are permanent unlike dynamite), the preplaced pitons break at an unpredictable pace, and there are flashbang cabbages planted along the mountain that basically blind you for 20ish seconds because alpine hates you

if youre on a slope thats almost walkable then clicking it repeatedly helps but spamming isnt required in general

We had a similar issue with another game breaking bug that, didn't let you skip the game, but straight up broke the difficulty of the game, which was infinite items. New people would abuse the heck out of it to beat the game, and then wonder why the game isn't fun, obviously, you're skipping the learning curves, not being punished for making mistakes.. gamers don't know how to have fun properly.

well its not just a cheese i think its a potentially gamebreaking glitch. with the meta around it (aka backpack launch to peak), its incredibly easy to ruin the game for others by doing it in multiplayer basically calling helicopter when no one else has a chance

It's similar to putting hot labels on things that we all know are hot like coffee. We know, but some people really just don't understand it until they get burned. Same thing here, we know it's ruining the fun but they might not realize it until it does. Just trying to save the fun even though we might come off as fun wreckers

The glitch is mainly used for glitched speedruns but shouldn't be used to skip the entire game, it'll just ruin your fun in the end.
