I do agree partially on the part about it working as a time limit but that also lowers the amount of terrain available. That's understandable in a terrain like the Caldera where floor is literally lava. But many times the path up is to go down, and restricting that choice to a time limit is sometimes a softlocking event.

Idk, my replacement idea was just an idea, i imagined it to be cool spooky mechanic, mostly for ambience but that can turn deadly in the wrong conditions.
My main point was that the fog as it is now limits the development of runs. I don't say its all bad, i just developed the opinion the game would be more fun without.
It's not like i haven't had my memorable and fun moments with the fog anyway :)

Fog ends up limiting the climb to a one path choice, where if you missed it, even if you have the stamina to go down and up again, you can't cause that area is taken. It's not a time limitant, it's a space limitant.

Is the endurance badge bugged? (climb 50m without touching ground) I had set up 3 ropes in a row and spam e/space to fly up them with lolipop and energy dring, then used a piton with full energy reserve all without touching the ground. What am i doing wrong?

So it's a triple hazard, it's a spatial hazard in the sense you cant access lower areas to go back again, it's a timed hazard cause staying on it kills you over a short time, and it's a visibility hazard cause you can't even spot areas ahead.
