Actually nearly any program with built in ability to communicate with others (or even just microphone access) and a connection to the internet can be listened in on by whoever is an adminstrator for that program.

Actually it is legal. It's always in the TOS. It's the same thing with our phones- there are plenty of apps that we all give permission to listen. Some people think it's a crazy coincidence that our phones show us ads for things we talked about, but it really is because it's listening.

I think its arguably scarier what they do how they build an extremely detailed advertising profile of you and your habits but not literally transcribing and showing ads for what youre saying at all times. but yeah if in tos its legal but not "90%" of apps with mic stuff can be legally intercepted
