Can you share your logs.zip file found in %UserProfile%\Zomboid?
Also can you share all “hs_err_pid” files found in your main game folder “Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid”?
Try to set the video settings to minimum.
Run the game and check.
Then increase the quality to an acceptable level.
Run the game and check.
The game may crash due to overly complex graphics.
The game may crash due to simplified zombie routes.
The game may crash due to bugs in modifications.
You can use the mod to track modification errors (errorMagnifier)
i think my drivers are failing because i entered eventvwr.msc im having like 12 errors today and a bit more warnings
one of them with the error shows project zomboid
i tried loading another game it insta crashed me didint even load and gave me a black scree
i feel like i need to uninstall my drivers or something
its bothering me for a while now
Can you try increasing RAM allocation for the game? Go to the install directory and find ProjectZomboid64.json, change the line "-Xmx3072m" to "-Xmx6g" and see if it helps
Ill try ill say if it changed anything
Force closed me again with this aswell
is there a new hs_err_pid file?
can you share it
have you only just started trying to use the bandits mod?
recently yeah. it started to lag for some reason since yesterday so i turned it off but the week one image still stays on my main screen
I was thinking off maybe unsubscribing maybe that will “fix” something but i highly doubt it
I turned the game on again stayed idle didint touch a single button got force closed
You don't have a lot of RAM available and any mod is going to increase RAM usage, the bandits mod is quite large and probably has an even larger impact than most. If you play vanilla does the game work?
I would revert the change to the .json file before trying vanilla too
Ill try to rechange the number on the json file turn off a couple of mods and retry again. I dont have bandits mod on to keep in mind its been off the entire time
I would try totally vanilla then build up a few mods at a time. If vanilla is crashing that gives us a good idea if it's a mod issue, a game issue or a hardware issue
Okay ill turn off everything then
Acrobat distiler gave me an error out of nowhere but
Without mods it also force closed
I think its my drivers
You can try a driver reinstall and see if it helps
You can also try a clean install of the game to see if that helps at all
First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
After that, go to “%UserProfile%\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder.
Then just install the game again and see if that helps.
Ill ping you here when i try the driver things out
Ill try to update them first if it doesnt work reinstall if it doesnt again then the game
@analog pasture for now i havent been getting any crashes after reinstalling my drivers but ill keep this post up for a little just incase something happens. Sorry for the ping tho dont wanna disturb you
And also thank you for your time
No problem, I'll leave the chat open so if it starts happening again just let me know
