guys im trying to host my own dedicated server but when i try connecting its just stuck on getting server info please can someone help me

i just installed dedicated server tool on steam then launched it, changed couple of settings like name, set it to public and thats all
it says server is on also when i put localhost n shi it pops up in favorites however its stuck on getting server info
it doesnt show up on the internet at all when i search it
pls help i really wanna host a server bru ive been tryna play for a whole week n i cant

Ok if you've launched it with the Steam UI you will need to verify the files through steam, you should only launch it with the .bat

js saw it in logs i havent tried logging yet

Have you ever used the ingame "host" function before? if you haven't changed the server name it will just use the same settings

That tells you how to create new settings and configure the dedicated server to use them
