Keep getting this message when joining a server my friend his hosting. I've verified files, made sure we are on the same version and even deleted the file and had the game recreate it. Anyone know how to fix? Also renamed "Steam" to "SteamLibrary" so it's identical.

the host changed the checksum which no longer gives me the error above but now I get this error

then you sdhould upload this file here or open it and at least copy the errors from the last parts of the file and post them.
be aware that this file is overwritten every time you start the game. so the information will only be there after you get the error and before you restart the game

Looks like an install error.
Can you try doing a full reinstall?
First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
After that, go to “%UserProfile%\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder.
Then just install the game again and see if that helps.

lastnight we tried to remove certain mods that i was getting errors for, after we got past certain errors i decided to unsubscribe from all, delete all my caches and have it fresh download them in order and it fixed
