The minimap in the bottom left of the screen is no longer visible to me, when I hold M it only gives me an option of opening the full map, and in the 'Lua layout.ini' file it says the minimap is set to visible

Found it, no it was disabled, but i'd never played sandbox, only apocolypse and survivor modes

It's disabled by default in Apocalypse and Extinction modes
