running a dedicated server from this ptero egg (https://eggs.pterodactyl.io/egg/games-project-zomboid/), despite double checking the vars (auto update on, set to unstable branch) it stays on .17
it looks like its failing to download the update through steamcmd.
ive tried reinstalling but still nothing

I would suggest reinstalling SteamCMD itself, if the egg allows you to do that
Or just wiping everything except the server save

deleted and remade the server, now it cant download even the game files

I would recommend either doing a clean wipe of the egg or reporting the issue to the egg creators
Since there are no issues with anyone else downloading the server, I cannot reproduce the issue either, meaning it would be a problem with Pterodactyl, rather than the game
