Hello,

I'm getting the error that I've seen others post about when loading a multiplayer server. I had a few mods installed and I haven't loaded it since recent updates. I have since tried reinstalling, as well as uninstalling, deleting all files in Zomboid folder and reinstalling. I have just been copying the backup of the Server folder as well as the folders that are in the Saves folder from my backup back into the game folders and I am still getting the error.

I also think I may have reverted the game version back to build 41 briefly and switching back to build 42. Not sure if this causes further corruption.

I know this question has been posted a lot, but I would really like to get back into this world if possible. Have I done anything incorrectly?

Thank you! (Error message below)

Create a new single player game with the exact same mods (if any).

Then navigate to “%UserProfile%\Zomboid\Saves” find your specific broken save folder, and back it up. Then open the new game save folder that you created. From there, copy the “WorldDictionary.bin” file and paste it into the broken save folder. See if that fixes the issue initially.

Hi Ash, thanks for the tip, the world is loading now, but it looks like a lot of my items are gone, particularly everything I had in my inventory. I also noticed it seems the VFE mods haven't loaded correctly and there are some other issues with items, I'm guessing that is going to be a byproduct with this kind of thing

Let me know if you have any other tips, but seriously thanks for your time!

The items you had are likely lost, the issue with messing with saves like that is that something will need to be reset, especially modded saves where we have no control over what they've decided to change. You can use debug mode as an admin to spawn items back in and adjust skills.

Hi Ash, thanks for your help! Really appreciate your time.

I was wondering if I could ask one more question. I ended up duplicating my original server and spawning in some things using the debug menu. I noticed that the map seems to be resetting each time I log out and log back into the server. It looks like maybe this is a common problem in the latest version of the game, but I was wondering if there is anything I might have done to cause this or if it is just a common bug. Any tips are appreciated.

Thanks Ash!
