Locally hosted or dedicated server? Are you using any mods?

I’m playing locally but would hosting the game on dedicated fix it also yes I’m using mods

#

I’m the one hosting since my other friend can’t host the game

#

We cut down some mods hoping it would fix the issue but still didn’t

Is your connection stable? If you're on WiFi can you try connecting with a wire?

Unfortunately no I don’t have a wired connection so idk what to do really

We can try other stuff, how much RAM do you have?

I just don’t understand if it’s the game causing all these desync issues or if it’s on my end I just ran out of idea honestly yesterday we got so mad we just gave up

So you're playing with 5 friends, generally we'd advise default + 500mb of RAM per player, so you'll need to set the server ram to 7gb in the "Host" menu. Try that and see if it helps. Make sure you don't have any programs you don't need running in the background, close anything that might be playing videos or downloading things for example.

My server is already running on 14 gigs of ram

#

Should i lower it ?

lilac rain
#

Yes, 7 should be enough, 14 will be eating almost all of your system ram

vagrant shore
#

Oh damn really

#

I will have to test that then

If you start experiencing crashes then you can start increasing RAM but you should keep a decent overhead for other system functionality

vagrant shore
#

So ur saying I should start with 7 and see if helps the increase it ?

lilac rain
#

7 should be your starting point yes

Alright well thanks for that I’ll make sure to try that I’ll get to it
