I'm a little certain this is intended, as it's a real thing with some bolt-action rifles in real life, where the loading and ejecting of brass could be blocked by the scope/scope mount.
Are there ways around this? Almost always.
But does it look cool? Some might say yes, perhaps especially so during an apocalypse
I'm pretty sure most rifles eject it to the right, most ones I've seen or used go at like a 45 degree angle. And also if it's that far forward the sight picture wouldn't be too good. I'm not trying to sound like I know it all but that's what I know
And the scope rail would block the cartridge from ejecting on the top too
