Can you share your logs.zip file found in %UserProfile%\Zomboid?
sorry js checking, i can play modded multiplayer through this version right
Yes, as long as the mods are compatible
okay
also sorry to ask, but is there a way to determine if a mod is not compatible>
servers going up currently sorry
Usually the mod description and name will specify if it is compatible with version 42
yes ok it happened again
do you want the folder or a screenshot?
oh i think i see
the mod manager wouldnt downlaod
alrighty now i dont know
The logs seem to point to a script issue, but no specific mod is listed as the issue
Meaning you have to manually find the problem mod
Do the following to do that:
If you have issues with mods, try disabling them one by one or in batches to figure out which specific mod is causing the problems.
Do it on a new save to to prevent any issues on your current playthrough as removing mods can cause items to be permanently deleted.
After you find out which mod is problematic, consider reporting the problem to the mod creator on their workshop page.
so what do i remove a mod from the server config, rehost and if it works?
so do i disable them in js server config?
Yes
just got it
it was the common sense mod
thats kinda weird tho
anyway, tysm for ur help man have a great day
@wary sigil
hey sorry so i need helpo
so it didnt say there were any errors, but now i come in a game
Well you can see the errors
Remove the mods that cause errors
These mods may use other mods during loading. Check the logs. If everything works, then everything is fine. This doesn't necessarily mean they're faulty.
Well yeah but I want them
It used to run, then it started showing these errors
I don’t really know how to fix this, i redownloaded them and they still didnt work
maybe author not adapted for 42.16+
okayi see a lot of mods are 42.13
sorry im not very good at this stuff
do you know how i could change the version back to 42.13?
ive heard how unstable b42 is for moddign but i feel like a lot of mods are adapted for that right?
@lucid seal @wary sigil now my zomboid is only hosting 41.78, even though i changed it to usntable
yeah now its only hosting 41.78 no matter if i pick unstable
You can either run the mods you want, but your server won't work, or your server will work, and you won't have the mods that cause issues
It's not too complicated
so theres no fix
How are you hosting the server?
The mod authors can fix their mods
through zomboid
You can contact them
If your Steam does not properly install the game update, you have to reinstall Steam
