Is IndieStone aware of the “bug” where zombies on higher stories of a building do not spawn in until the player visits that specific floor?

Too many times have I had this happen to me, where I clear out all of the zombies on the first few floors of a building, and then all of a sudden, a million zombies spawn out of nowhere when I go up a single flight of stairs. It makes exploring these buildings so unfairly challenging, because sometimes, you’ll get zombies that spawn right on that first tile at the top of the stairs, so when you try to turn around to go back down, you bump into them, fall over, and die.

Now I say this is a bug, but maybe it’s actually just a feature IndieStone implemented to reduce lag in big cities like Louisville (this is the only town that really has several-story buildings anyways). If that is the case, then I would like to petition this to be changed to a new system.

From what I’ve experienced, it seems like the way it currently works is this: zombies will spawn normally on the first and second floors of all buildings. If a building has more than two stories, visiting the third floor will cause all zombies on both the third and fourth floor of only that particular building to spawn. Subsequently, visiting the fifth floor causes the zombies from the fifth and sixth floor to spawn. Etc.

Assuming this is a feature and not a bug, I propose it be changed to work like this: when you go up a floor, the zombies from the floor above should spawn in. So since you start on the first floor, all zombies on the first and second floor of any building should always spawn in like normal. If the player goes up to the second floor of a building, all zombies on the third floor of the building should spawn in. If they go to the third floor, all zombies on the fourth floor should spawn. Etc. I think the merits of this new system are self-explanatory, while also being equivalently effective at reducing lag from zombie spawns (again, assuming this was the original intent behind having zombies in multi-story buildings spawn like this)
