constant error

zero mods, freshly reinstalled the game 2 minutes ago, still getting an error and i cant find why -- 42.17 latest

ive had the same issue and figured out that its a mod called common sense if you are subed to it try to unsub from it. alternatively redownload the game maybe?

This generally happens due to corrupted game files, a simple reinstall will not fix corrupted files due to the leftovers not being deleted. I suggest trying a clean reinstall instead.

First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
After that, go to “%UserProfile%\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder.
Then just install the game again and see if that helps.
