I'm using the mod from the workshop, but it's not showing up and asking me to download it from a different path. But if I drag and drop the mod, it still doesn't work.

if you're using the steam version of the game then the mods should download to the correct folder automatically, there should be no need to move them

You will need to move the mod back to where it originally was. Make sure your user has permission to read and write to the ~/Zomboid directory too

Can you try downloading other mods to see if they load correctly?

it's likely a case sensitivity issue, most modders are on Windows where case sensitivity doesn't matter
