Installed B42 and played for around 3 hours without problems. Suddenly game started to crash at random. No error message, just straight to desktop. No mods installed. This happens in multiplayer (2 people only on the server including me). Crash happens between 2-15 mins of playtime. Any help is appreciated.

Can you try doing a full reinstall?
First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
After that, go to “%UserProfile%\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder.
Then just install the game again and see if that helps

No luck, game crashed while i was creating my character. (First time opening the game since fresh install)

I'm not seeing any logs in there, can you open the Windows Reliability Monitor (just search Reliability Monitor in the start menu) and see if there are any Critical Events for Project Zomboid in there. If there are can you click "View Technical Details" and send me a screenshot of what comes up?

are you running any software that monitors your hardware (MSI Afterburner, Rivatuner etc) or creates an overlay (Discord Overlay)?

Not sure if relevant but this update has been stuck like this for 5-6 minutes

Could you disable the steam overlay? Riight click Project Zomboid in the library > Properties > General and disable it there

I'm not sure if it's a chipset issue. You seem to be having the same problem we've seen for a lot of people on AMD graphics cards, we've not been able to reliably reproduce the issue at the moment.

Not that i know of, after the crash i've been playing multiplayer for ~1 hour and no crashes after that. Where can i find that file you mentioned?
