If I /setaccesslevel (myuser) admin I don't get the admin panel button on the left, and in debug the cheat menu has no cheats listed. Any advice on how to fix the issue?

Having the same issue and it is on local host in my case, I created the server and invite my buddies when we want to play, can login with -debug through steam properties yet can't use admin privileges (build 42.17)

Does the same thing happen if you go to "Manage Settings" and create new settings then launch with those?

Creating new settings starts a new server, I am trying to save a character on the original server so we can continue our run with that character. I really need someone to get on call with me and we can walk through what's going on as I have spent hours trying to fix this issue and figure out what I can do, it's getting to the point where I am trying to learn SQLite DB browser just to edit files because nothing else is working, sometimes it's best to be there rather than hear about it later. I am always free for call.

So overall in my case after hours and hours of trying to figure it out, it seems the admin command does work but only if you type it in the chat box and not in the console, which threw everyone I spoke with about this with for a loop, not sure if that’s intended or just a build 42.17 thing, which if it is makes it understandable as it’s an unstable build, but certainly interesting regardless
