Trying to set up a dedicated server, as using the "Host" function in game is weird for my friend (glitches and lag, which is to be expected). Was hoping a dedicated server would be more stable, as it works like that in my other games I host.
No matter what I do, I get a "Termination" error. It's a fresh install from steam, no I did not press play in Steam itself. I ran the start.bat files, all 3 of them, to no avail (the 32 bit one just couldn't find a file location so it gave a different error but I don't want to use 32 bit if I can avoid it anyways).
No mods, ports 16261 and 1262 are forwarded, both TCP and UDP. Firewall is off, so it's not firewall. I have hosted many other games through bat files (namely Minecraft) from my own machines before with little issues, and I'm not sure what is the problem with this one.
Looking it up, all I get are "mod conflicts" (I have no mods, didn't even try installing mods till I knew vanilla could load in the first place. I do have mods in my singleplayer game, but they are not only in different folders, my game itself is on a different drive), reinstall the files (fresh install and I have re-installed multiple times by deleting the files myself then validating, and also using the uninstall function in Steam), or wrong AppID in the files (I checked, it's accurate). I'm not sure what the problem is, and Version 41 seems to run just fine, but my friend and I like the features in 42 if it's possible to get it to work. If not, we'll suck it up and use version 41.
On a whim I also tried installing the dedicated server on the same drive as my game (my external hard drive), in case it needed to reference the game itself, and still nothing.
