maybe?
min reqs list quad core 2.77 ghz that's a 2.6 ghz dual core, you could try your luck but the gpu is probably fine
all the support checks out
it should be possible
pz is low poly pixels
zombies can get laggy sometimes
i mean a few months ago i couldn't run it
nvm not a few months ago
an entire year ago
it crashes at game loading?
you'd have to check an older thread of mine called 'Anger'
well tech support told you you are cooked
is it because of the compatibility pack
Dont have this installed?
https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nqpsl29bfff?hl=en-US&gl=US
This compatibility pack allows more of your favorite OpenCL™, OpenGL®, and Vulkan® apps to run on a Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC that doesn't have these hardware drivers installed by default. If a DirectX 12 driver is installed, supported apps will run with hardware acceleration for better performance. This package supports apps that use Open...
Or did you put any "opengl" files in your game install folder?
Speaking of my own experience.
Your CPU performance might be slightly better than mine (low fps, no throttling tho)
Your GPU will suffer a lot
Your game will probably crash a lot or fail to load when the savefile size is too big (considering you have the same amount of RAM as me and additionally your GPU might drain even more of it than mine)
It might work, but not guaranteed it will be even playable
I had laptop with HD 4000 and it barely ran old games. PZ is not very GPU dependant, but it requires a ton of VRAM to properly work without constant lagging
And you dont have dedicated RAM for your textures in GPU (since its not even GPU, its an iGPU. Thus it will load directly into your RAM
And to me 8GB of RAM + 2GB VRAM wasnt enough to play B42 for long time
This is the only two things i see when i search OpenGL in my files
So, there is no issue with the game or?
What the hell is RollupFix? I have it as well
dunno
I guess its a "All in one" patch for windows
It have literally everything. I wonder if you have "AMD" there as well
i do
but i don't have AMD stuff
Yes. You have the folders for all sorts of stuff for all sorts of equipments. That's literally all the possible fixes for all possible machines in this folder.
I dont think those files are directly installed in your system (not executing at all). Thus you can't rely on them
So yeah, I cant advice to install what Beard linked here (because I have no experience in installing anything except some rudimentary redists), but it seems necessary in your case
do i really need it?
idk, try without it
i'm able to play without it
If you notice any visual bugs, artifacts, weird performance etc - let us know
Playing Portal 2 without -vulkan parameter on the old GPU renders no dynamic lighting. Something similar can occur here, where some shaders might fail
the hell is a shader
Basically any visualFX that requires calculations in realtime
Particles, shadows, lighting, overlays etc etc
like rain and fog
welp i shall play for now and if anything weird happens i'll come back
Not to be mistaken with Minecraft shaders btw.
everything's fine
