I have two machine (One win and one Linux (ubuntu 22)) and im hosting a dedicated server on the Linux and i followed multiple tutorial. The server seems to be running fine but i cannot connect from my local machine.

I also dont know where to find the config file to change the ram alocation and the used .ini file to start the server.

Maybe try change your ip ( 192.168.2.15 ) to "localhost" ?

shell swift

Can you try connecting to the server using your external IP address?

You think i need to open my local win firewall?

It's a fairly common issue for Zomboid servers to be unable to connect when the connection is set to Public, it's worth a try as a troubleshooting step.

Do you know how i edit the file to start with more ram and a diff .ini file?

#

i used to run the server on Win and my config looks like this

#

but on Linux it look like this

#

and idk where to put the -servername var

#

or where i can increase the ram

#

how much overhead ram do the systems need? im aming at 10G dedicated and the rest (4.7) for system

shell swift

Those settings should be editable in start-server.sh, servername will point to an ini file of the same name. Unless you're expecting a lot of players or modding the game heavily you probably don't need to allocate more ram but you can increase it slowly if you notice issues.
