when attacking with a spear specifically crafted via a long stick + knife, the stab attack animation will cause the stabbing sound to play 2 times in quick succession. this does not happen for carved spears, nor the swipe attack, just the stab with crafted spears.

i found it in a game with mods, but i booted up another save i had with no mods and it was still happening

i can try eventually, can’t play tonite but i can in a day or 2. is there an ez way to quickly spawn in a crafted spear?

you can use debug mode by adding "-debug" to your launch parameters.

@nimble shell just tested in debug, it happens even with no mods on
it only happens when using crafted spears, and only on the "stab" animation. the "swipe" doesnt do it

and if possible could you take a screen recording?

fought 1 zombie with regular wooden spear, audio is fine, no double sound
but when i do the stab animation with the crafted spear, you can hear the doubling of the sound
u can even see how when it does the "swipe" animation, the sound thing doesnt happen, only during the stabs
this was tested via the "whole lotta weapons" scenario in debug
