Hi! Does anyone here play on GOG.com? I want to play with a friend—I'm on Steam and she's on GOG.com—but I'm not sure how to make it work. I've tried connecting via IP address, but I haven't had any luck. What should I do, or what am I doing wrong? Can anyone help me out? I speak Spanish

In a shortcut, add -nosteam (as you see in the image). You also need to connect to a "nosteam" server.

How do I get to that folder?

Can't I be the host?

You can easily create this server using the "dedicated server" tool.

#

There may be other ways but I haven't looked into them. To connect to the servers, you and your friends will need to connect using the server's IP address (which requires having open ports on your router, a static IP address, etc.).

I've set it to "No Steam" in the game, and on Steam as well.

#

What would it be like not to have open ports?

tambien puedes poner lo de -nosteam (aqui)
_
You can also put -nosteam (here)

#

Putting it in the shortcut is in case you want to create a secondary shortcut and thus run both modes (Steam and non-Steam) "quickly"

Yes, I've done that too.

#

Would you be kind enough to explain to me how to set up a dedicated server?

They usually recommend using the SteamCMD tool, although I find it easier with Steam's own tool. For this, you'll need to obtain a static IP address, either through your router or your PC, and open the ports the game requires. If you use the Steam tool, when you install it, you must run the corresponding .exe file (in non-Steam mode) with Steam closed, and you must also run your game with Steam closed. Otherwise, you could encounter conflicts and you'd have to repair the server (by verifying its integrity) and run it again.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\ProjectZomboid64.exe" -nosteam

#

sin los '' finales

without the '' endings

#

By the way, there's a small space between "ProjectZomboid64.exe" and "-nosteam" that you should also include.
