could be your zombie culling settings...

if more then 300 (default) zombies are loaded in they will disappear like that. you can up that number to 500 max

Yes, I don't think it's because of the large amount. In the video you can see like 20 zombies and they still disappear. So I don't think it's due to any configuration.
