Okay so in build 42 there is this bug called the "NaN bug" - "Not A Number". I have ran into this bug myself in 2 different playthroughs since build 42. Basically it stunts your stats, and you can't progress in the stats that it has effected. What you can do to try and fix this is downloading a mod called Stats NaN Guard https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3697888147. This has worked for me in those 2 previous playthroughs I mentioned. We are still hoping for a fix by TIS.

Yes it will work for a ongoing save, but if you are worried you can make a backup just in case.
