seems to be stuck on getting server info, while i am on linux the last time i played it worked great but now i am stuck, tried:

Some basic info:
OS: Debian 13
Zomboid Ver: B41

  1. Opening port 16261 , 16262 on UFW and even disabling UFW
  2. enabling, disabling uPNP does not change anything
  3. Deleted save and db folder
  4. Running batch of mods not a big amount that would make loading time longer maybe like 20 mods which of them are some KI5 cars and quality of life mods that worked everytime for me and my friends
  5. Tried Reseting steam still not work
  6. Server manages to run with -nosteam command but i don't have any mods while using that

some log from console.txt

if needed ill provide any logs and information

I assume this is a server you installed? Can you specify how exactly you installed it?

torn crag
#

Just hosted it like always from zomboid, i am playing on linux, always did same back in windows, and other time on linux too it worked always now its a problem

civic basin
#

I do not know how you always host it

#

Which is why I am asking

torn crag
#

i mean from the host tab in zomboid main menu with my own config put like 10 gigs of ram and like 20 mods, not some self hosting dedicated server or any provider

civic basin
#

I see.. well the log seems corrupted

#

Did you perhaps switch to 42 at some point and back to 41

torn crag
#

yup

#

tried to reisntal the game

civic basin
#

That will cause issues unless you fully reinstall

#

Which based on the logs, was not done

torn crag
#

ok ill try with fully deleted folders

civic basin
#

Therefore, I would first suggest doing a full reinstall.
First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
After that, go to “%UserProfile%\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder.
Then just install the game again and see if that helps.

Those logs are very unusual, you said you are on Debian, but those logs look like they are from Windows

#

Are you launching the game in Proton? Since we do not support that on Linux, I can only recommend using the native version for troubleshooting

torn crag
#

i am using proton beacuse the native won't work

#

resolving this issue now

#

at least trying

The problem is not with the zomboid itself

#

Its problem with steam

#

Thats the issue where i can't find a way to solve it despide lots of same issues in reddit github etc

Game Recording - would start recording game 10800, but recording for this game is disabled

#

the problem is that even with turned off overlay it is the same issue

#

all the game when i am trying to run in native drops same problem

civic basin
#

I can only help with the native logs

#

But as a shot in the dark, you can try changing your Download Region in the Steam settings

#

That often helps with weird Steam specific issues

torn crag
#

i guess when i finally going to ran this on native it would work great
