I am not aware of such an issue, did you add the mods in the Steam Workshop section in the server settings?
yes. all the mod names are in the INI but none of the workshop numbers.
added mods through steam launcher>properties.
and internally through the new internal mod selector, and through host settings.
this is the specific game error i keep receiving from K15 vehicle mod, specifically from Damn Library
and the INI if you wish to look, but it is still just lacking all the ID numbers.
and the debug log. maybe itll say something about why its not pulling the workshop numbers?
I think there was a misunderstanding, I am specifically asking if you added them in the Steam Workshop section in the server settings, not the Mods section as you specified
Can you screenshot the Steam Workshop section in the server settings so I can confirm you added them there
If you did not, then you have to add them
I can. Pretty sure I did, cuz i went through all of the settings twice. But ill check again tonight. Ill be home in 5 hours, 11pm eastern.
oh... WHY
new issue:
i now have workshop numbers in my INI. could this be a load order issue now?
even after sorting both lists to load in the same order (if that matters anymore_, this framework is still being the issue
try change DoLuaChecksum=true to false
You should never do that on any server
Unsubscribe from the mod in the error, do not resubscribe, then start the server again
If that fails, do the same for all the mods you have
console log from server. note: this is a webhost server, unsure if that matters
i unsubscribed and removed that one mod from the server. the error moved immediately to the next mod in the list. reinserted the mod and the same error returned. local host is failing in the exact same fashion as well
I have unsubscribed from ALL mods (as a client). attempt to join server. prompted to subscribe and installed all the same mods.
AND.....
it failed! tho differently...
oh. its client side console error. oops. WorldDictionary error.
i can only say, this script file exists on both server and client, however they are showing different file sizes. 1,513 client vs 1,470 KB server
Can be caused by problematic mods, or can be caused by save / character corruption
Try connecting with a different character as a first test
since we just moved to b42.16. possible..
new character didnt fix. possible save issue?
Possible, did you start a new save after moving to 42.16?
Since old saves are not compatible
did not. attempting load now with fresh wipe
that fixed it! thank you! now i just need to touch up server settings
Where are the old saves found?
All saves are in %UserProfile%\Zomboid\Saves on Windows
i have attempted to add more mods but now im running into the same issue again
attempting local host to test. added new mods to the list. rebuilt the entire numbers list again in order. deleted old save. and im still getting the client not installed error
this one
i even unsubscribed from ALL and tried to load host and resubscribe from there and it still says client doesnt have file
even tried to connect to my online server, that i did not tamper with..
but i was able to reconnect on the 4th attempt...
Generally, mod load order should not be an issue unless you are specifically loading conflicting mods, which you should avoid doing anyway
I do not think I can help much with mod issues, I would just suggest testing if the issue persists without those mods
Ya i have no idea what's going on with it. Shouldnt be anything conflicting. It starts with "carry weight framework" saying that client does not have it installed, exactly like when I didnt have the workshop numbers. Except now I do and I've tested everything as before with no change.
