I tried two times to to shoot through an open window
didn't work
then a zed bit me into a shoulder through METAL BARS
can I somehow debug myself out of this nonsense?

Armor works to protect the glass, not the driver/passenger.

It directs the zombie damage to the armor instead of the glass.. if there's no glass, the Zed can still bite through it
