A program folder appears in my C:/ directory every time I restart my computer

There's like a message from my computer abt duplicating folders so I know a new one is being created. Also I do have the C:/Users/<USERNAME>/Zomboid folder as well, and it seems that the program folder is the one that is being used for actual saves and the zomboid folder is just being ignored by the game

This is also the folder I need to delete if I play a game with mods and it doesn't close properly

and when I delete it, all the save data in the game is gone (i.e. settings, saved presets, and saved games)

The game does not create any "Program" folder unless you tweaked the launch settings to tell it to do that

I used the -cachedir=<PATH TO STEAM ZOMBOID FOLDER> fix

but I did also cachedir it to c:/ at one point but idk why its still using it because I changed it

Well, did you ever specify the path to the C:/Program folder

Since that would explain why you hve it

Well, remove the path

If I understand the question correctly, if you have the game set to generate a folder in that path, and you do not want the game to create the files in that path, you have to remove that option
