There is a mod that fixes this, although I expect TiS to fix the bug really soon so the mod has a limited shelf life. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3687634406

I have not tested it. I heard that another person did (in #pz_b42_chat ? ) and they did not report issues.

Since this mod is to fix a problem specific to B42.15 I would assume it is ok for B42.15 saves.
