Hello I am using the steam deck oled build 41
I seem to not understand how to simply zoom in and out in game. I see all other videos using the select button for a radial menu where it shows the + and -
But mine doesn’t and I tried binding the - and = keyboard keys to any button and nothing works. Everything about the default settings and radial menus I think are perfectly fine but I can’t zoom in and out it’s driving me nuts lol

Are you using the default layout and do you have Automatic Zoom disabled in the game options?
You have to do that if you want to enable manual zooming, disable it for Player 1, then the zoom buttons in the radial menu will be available

Yes I use default which I like. Also checked settings and watched videos but no explanation. I just wish the plus and minus would just appear so I can actually play
This is for multiplayer by the way. We use a private server. Idk if that makes a difference

Could you screenshot the settings so I can confirm they are set up as I suggested? Since that is the main issue generally.

Looks good, does the zoom definitely not show up when you press the Dpad or the menu button above the Dpad?
There is also a secondary way to set it up on the deck, you can bind the Back Buttons to Mouse Wheel Up + Down
This way you can use them to zoom instead of navigating the radial menu

Interesting, can i ask if you are lauching the game in compatibility mode?
When you launch PZ you have a selection of launches

When I launch it just starts. Maybe I asked it not to mention it again a while back

Using default and steam input still doesn’t change anything there as well
It actually works only when I use the map (the back buttons as scroll wheel )

Yes that is not good
That mode is specifically for ancient PCs, it disables a lot of functions to make it run on them
You should never use it on newer PCs, especially the Steam deck
So switch to the standard launch option
