If you are just starting out with this game I will warn you that B42 is in an unstable state. You absolutely will run across little bugs like that.
B41 is still a viable, stable way to play the game. There are far less bugs.
How to fix this bug specifically? Idk, does it happen every time you come to that spot? If so consider submitting a bug report on the forums.

Are you following what whe tutorial is telling you? You have to hold right click and strafe, moving without strafing is blocked, because you have to learn to strafe.
