Lots of issues with trying to get back into hosting a server for friends but with every update makes this game kinda not worth anymore with the tedious fixes. For one I sometimes get long initializations which is fixed with a tedious abort and start again which does work but sucks and now after loading in the game the mods aren't even on as if the game loaded in vanilla. Yes I do have them set in the settings so what's the ISSUE!?!

are they included here too?
Ofc there are, this isn't my first time hosting zomboid.
Also when you load servers they automatically get activated in the mods list
need your client and server console logs
Latest Ofc
It initialize them just fine they're not showing up in the game itself for some reason.
key='mods' value='\damnlib;\04vwTouran;\42Grapeseed;\49powerWagon;\63Type2Van;\etc... need loading without \
key='mods' value='damnlib;04vwTouran;42Grapeseed;49powerWagon;63Type2Van;etc...
because you use ='version' value='41.78.16'
What is the course of action to this fix, I don't understand
I assume I have to run this version, does the small patches go onto there?
you installed 42.15+ ?
Yes use the unstable branch (B42.15.2 rn) if you want updates and if you want to use the latest mods.
Looks like you were on B41, that was your issue.
Mods are listed differently between versions in the .ini
Lastly, be sure the mods you install are compatible with your game version. If they were updated in the past 3 days they are probably compatible...
This made good progress but now I am getting...
Yeah I even get termination on my old play saves as well. This sucks, I just want to play the game. Worse than Arma updates ;(
Quoted from a friend...
So workshop data for Zomboid is stored in 2 seperate locations that -in my case- needed to be deleted before the server would launch

Both of these directories would contain old mod data, despite being unsubscribed off steam
...My friend above had a similar issue.
He ended up needing to delete everything in those folders and verify the integrity of his files before his game would launch.
