#Can yall rate my build?

never tried b42
It has issues, unless you're deliberately trying to handicap yourself
or some of these choices are driven by RP
you do not need strong, you merely want it
i'd say athletic is more valuable than strong
especially because of how hard it is to level fitness
and i know you picked strong for the carry weight because you're intending to sneak around with inconspicuous
not for the extra melee damage
sleepyhead is also incredibly bad
possibly the worst trait to pick
ok so that's clearly an RP build because you took sleepyhead over short-sighted
If you're trying to make things easier for yourself, I'd skip slow learner, sleepyhead and inconspicuous
Burglar is kinda questionable as a profession. The positives there are hotwiring (which you can unlock quickly with any build by stripping electronics and training mechanics) and nimble (which you get cheaper via the gymnast trait)
slow reader is just free points no?
he said slow learner
same
slow learner isn't free points
you picked slow learner.
That's a flat reduction to all gained XP
you may not need fast learner in some occasions, but you definitely dont wanna take slow learner
Slow reader is just reading about 25-30% slower
you dont need burglar hotwiring either
car keys spawn often enough for it to not matter
it's not that hard to find them
like in b41 they spawned rarely in houses and now in b42 its almost in every house?
it's not just houses they spawn in
they spawn on the ground, in the ignition, in the glovebox, and surrounding zombies
unless you're in echo creek, the average town will have enough houses that you'll eventually find a car in the first week
You're bound to find at least 1 set of usable car keys in your first week.
Even if you don't, between the books and how easy it is to level electronics/mechanics you'll unlock hotwiring without the profession in a day or two
there's a lot better professions for the cost
Carpenter, construction worker, fire officer, police officer, security guard
fine just tell me the things io need to change
your profession, remove slow learner, inconspicuous, and sleepyhead
you could replace strong, but that's still mainly preference
@real parrot I'd ditch the traits I mentioned before, get fast learner and gymnast, a fitness trait, and pick a better profession.
police officer if you want to use guns
Construction worker, fire officer or lumberjack if you want to do melee
Carpenter if you're undecided (you get more free trait points and can pick something like brawler, hunter or ball player for the combat XP bonuses)
Carpenter's +1 Short Blunt is good enough tbh
I sent this in DM's already, but if I truly had to make a Burglar in Build 42 with a stealth focus, I'd try something like this
But honestly Burglar is just not very good anymore.
It's in the unstable beta phase
oh
i thought it was released
well it is
but not fully
i dont fully understand the beta and apha stuff
You can play it, just dont expect playthrough to last long if you mod
As new features come out they might not be fully implemented in old saves
Also expect bugs that wouldnt be present in a more stable version of the game
the only mod ill use is: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2991923398
It might not seem like much but still dont expect playthroughs to go for super long as updates come out and break mods
Maybe your modded save will be compatible, and with less mods it's more likely, but you never know
okay i guess ill still play the b41 until b42 releases fully
fear of blood is bad now in b42, high thirst is so shit, sleepyhead literally just makes you have 20% less gameplay in day, and if you want to grind skills like crazy keep slow learner. take conspicuous instead of incon, and change speed demon for cats eyes
Idk if they changed it but conspicuous is just one of the freest points imo, and inconspicuous is kind of waste
but yeah I guess you mentioned stealth, but idk either way seems waste
not a fan of hard of hearing either, the smaller perception radius is quite bad imo
It's never been a problem for me. If anything, it cuts out superflouous zombie noise. I know that if I hear a zombie behind me, it's an immediate threat and I can act appropriately.
Beyond that, it teaches you good playing habbits. Always check your corners, occasionally glance behind you, dont have your back to an open door when looting, etc.
Hmm I don't really have much issue with that, I usually avoid anything that affects my combat since I am like almost always killing zombies on average 100 a day lol, if you know what your doing, you don't really die unless your greedy and fight with low endurance and other modules
or my favorite, driving too fast and crashing into a car middle of the road
Pretty much. And if you dont have an issue with them already then Hard of hearing probably won't affect you much
fair, been a long while since I played with hard of hearing, think only one character in b42, I get enough points from like, thin skinned, slow reader, conspicuous, weak stomach, prone to illness + custom occupation for everything I need, u could throw in free points with short sighted, but glasses don't fit my look so I skip that lol
For two point perks I always like slow reader over short sighted (as long as Im playing single player and can find some reading glasses, that is)
yeh, I mean slow reader on single player is really not an issue at all
