this is the error i get on coop file
Can you try doing a full reinstall?
First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
After that, go to “%UserProfile%\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder.
Then just install the game again and see if that helps.
i did all of those i also saw leftover files in project zomboid file i deleted them and unsubcribe to all my workshops mod too but it sitll happens however i host i go back to main menu few times before actually creating the server
the 41 build didnt have this issue for me
Are you able to join any random public servers?
yes
Can you share your logs.zip file found in %UserProfile%\Zomboid?
Hm, can you try going to the Zomboid/Saves folder and delete the "Multiplayer" folder there?
Then try hosting again
ok
still the same issues
no mods at all too
when i go back in 41 this issue dont exist
as i said before it keep sending back to main menu but eventually the host works with alot of try it just annoying wasting alot of time to host a game
That sounds like a connection issue honestly, do you have any sort of antivirus, security software, are you on a wifi or cable connection?
What do you mean by that? Do you not have any antivirus?
nope i have no anti virus at the moment i used to have one just to clean up stuff not anymore
but if i had it why could it only screw build 42 not 41?
if i go back in the build this problem just disappear
Because there are functional differences between the build
Since you have a firewall, can you make sure the "Zulu" application is allowed there?
yeah its allowed
it is really a odd bug i have
i can host its just annoying that i get send back to main menu 3 or more times before next attempt it finally create the server
Hm, I am not sure if I can help too much with it, the error is unusual since it just specifies that you failed to connect
Though it doesnt specify why
idk what happened i didnt do anything but it magically fixed itself
