#non-host lagging after ~1 hour of normal gameplay
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
i had my ram set to 12g, then lowered it to 6g and the issues persist
this is the latest build 42 version aswell
Noticing a lot of lag/stutters on my steam co-op server as well! Friend shoots a zombie and it takes 3 seconds for me to see the zombie die. The gunshot and bloodsplatter were on point with no delay. Just the zombies themselves walked for 3 sec after being killed before deciding they had no head anymore
Do you have any mods enabled on the server?
i only have 2 mods enabled and both are just bug fixes for b42 multiplayer
the lag happened before i had the mods downloaded as well
I have to first ask to reproduce the issue without mods.
If you can do that, can you share your logs.zip file found in %UserProfile%\Zomboid?
turns out i forgot to enable any mods i had downloaded onto the server so the issues i was having happened vanilla
i always forget pz servers need mods enabled separately
im mostly just looking for an answer on if client lag is due to my connection or if it can be fixed
It usually is, but your description makes it seem like its something different... could you try hosting a dedicated server instead and see if that helps?
i don't think i can do that
actually i just dont know how to do that
The wiki has a good guide for it:
https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Dedicated_server
You can ask me if there are any issues with the setup?
oh i don't have direct access to my router i can't do that
I see, I am not sure I can suggest much in that case unfortunately.
its fine i dont think i can fix a straight latency problem
