how did you try to update?

void mist
#

"app_update 380870 -beta unstable validate"

#

I would also recommend making a new world

void mist
#

with this command

#

we didnt had a world already

#

but how do i make a new world just in case its the problem

night fable
#

you have steamcmd?

void mist
#

yep i do

#

using it with the "login anonymous" command

#

Wipe the server install folder, then reinstall it with that command

#

Or preferably, to rule out common SteamCMD issues, wipe everything

void mist
#

the whole folder or just the steamapps folder?

latent nacelle
#

Including SteamCMD

#

Then redownload it, reinstall

void mist
#

clean install steamcmd and server file

#

okay

#

will try it in a minute

w beard as always

void mist
#

#

be back in a "second"

#

just in case it doesn't or it does work

#

okay its saying its 42.15.1 😄 Thanks for the help Beard ^^

#

another bit of problem

That seems like an issue related to the save itself, does it use any mods?

void mist
#

yes i try to install it with a list of mods

latent nacelle
#

Since conversion may fail between game versions, mods worsen the chance of a successful conversion significantly

void mist
#

even with a clean reinstall?

how can i create a new save?

#

i just started the server last sunday just to try it out that it works. shutted it down almost immediately when i could join it. didnt do anything at all. but maybe that created everything

#

Go to User/Zomboid and delete the Saves/Multiplayer folder

#

If the server still fails to launch, you have to remove mods

void mist
#

will try that aswell

#

still does the same. cant find a lot of media/maps/xy/objects.lua

#

then i'll try removing mods

#

is there any log that i could work with to know which mods should i remove? or just simply try removing them one-by-one and find the one that makes it work

latent nacelle
#

Remove half of them, its miles faster than doing it one by one

#

Otherwise, the server-console.txt file in the Zomboid folder contains logs

#

You can sometimes search for "STACK TRACE" to see errors

#

But a lot of times, mods wont be that obvious

void mist
#

okay its running and working 😄
