im playing on the 'outdatedunstable' version of the game and when I host a server it goes up to downloading the mods and initialisng and stuff but at the end its stops and aborts, could it be due to the mods, i've deleted the db file and tried deleting the steamapps files but it still doesnt work

Yes, the common sense is the only mod throwing errors, try removing it
