i wanted to play with my friend and i couldn't host or join his game so after countless tries at a deletion and verification of the game we thought that i should hard reset the game, so i deleted all the files associated with project zomboid and reinstalled the game through steam and now the game wont launch. when i press play nothing happens but the game still shows that its running in task manager. any ideas ?

Can you try using the "Alternate launch" option when launching the game through Steam? If the game fails to start again, can you share your console.txt file, found in %UserProfile%\Zomboid?
