Can't join Build 41 Multiplayer with Linux

Has anyone managed to join public modded Steam server while playing on Linux (I'm on Ubuntu)?

I manage to get to character creation with Steam Relay turned on and starting without proton but joining the world crashes the game

Works fine here, can you connect with the relay turned off?
