#Hosting server - it loads until start screen then nothing - B41

As the title says, the game loads the server and starts, including the region and character selection. Then the music plays when the starting text is supposed to come up, but nothing shows on screen. This is on B41, tried it with mods and no mods, enough ram. Game doesn't crash but doesn't continue loading, have tried deleting config files to no avail.

If it happens without any mods, can you share your logs.zip file found in %UserProfile%\Zomboid?

Can you create a new default config named "servertest" and launch it using the default settings, not changing anything?

Same result

Done a fresh install, will try again later

I used the alternative steam launch to try to see what was the problem, the window showed this as it was failing to launch into the server.

#

That was with a fresh install, no mods

@upbeat token any ideas why it says connection disconnected? It looks like that's the problem

Could you share the logs again?
And additionally, can you share all “hs_err_pid” files found in your main game folder “Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid”?

Yep will do

#

Can't find any "hs_err_pid" files in the steam PZ folder though

Hm, unfortunately, this looks like a rare bug that we have no workaround for at this moment.
Can you forward this issue to our bug reports section in that case?

As an alternative, you can try hosting a dedicated server, since it should have no issues.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with my firewall. Have made sure it isn't restricted for PZ and followed your instructions on doing a full uninstall including deleting any files leftover - as mentioned on another thread. Just redownloading now and will see what happens.
